Federal grant will help courts

The Justice Department has awarded more than $2.6 million to Nevada for programs to address violent crimes against women through victim services, law enforcement, prosecution and training programs.
The Nevada attorney general's office has been awarded $1.28 million, and the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges in Reno has been awarded $1.33 million.
