State taxi agency names administrator

Wednesday, June 18, 2003 | 11:13 a.m.

A former human resources manager in the gaming industry has taken over as administrator of the Nevada Taxicab Authority.

Yvette Moore, who spent more than 10 years of her 26-year human resources management career in positions at Mikohn Gaming Corp. and the Hotel San Remo, began working in her new position last week.

Moore takes over for Joseph Dahlia, who was acting administrator following the resignation of John Plunkett, who took a similar position with the Transportation Services Authority, which regulates limousines and bus service in the state.

Dahlia will continue with the Taxicab Authority as a senior investigator.

The Taxicab Authority regulates Clark County's 16 taxi companies.
