WMS Gaming, a subsidiary of WMS Industries Inc., has allowed an agreement to distribute a roulette game to expire because of regulatory delays, technical problems and customer issues. Star Games Corp. Pty. Ltd. had an agreement with WMS to distribute WMS' "Rapid Roulette" game.
"Given the enormous amount of new product we plan to launch in the near future ... we believe it to be in our best interest to focus on our core business and offerings," Chief Executive Brian Gamache said in a statement.
Over the past nine months, Chicago-based WMS has invested "significant effort and resources" in attempting to bring the roulette game to market in North America, he said.
