Mildred Victoria Craden

Mildred Victoria Craden, 85, of Las Vegas died June 1 in Las Vegas. Born Oct. 31, 1917, in Buffalo, N.Y., she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Gail Herman and Gwen Craden; two sons, Gary Craden and Greg Craden; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arnet C. Drosdahl

Arnet C. Drosdahl, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 6, 1917, in Van Hook, N.D. A resident for 42 years, he was a Navy chief hospital corpsman and World War II veteran, and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; one daughter, Donna Gonzales, and one son, Jim Drosdahl, both of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 11 a.m. memorial service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Arlene Barbara Eckhart

Arlene Barbara Eckhart, 67, of Fort Collins, Colo., died Wednesday in Fort Collins. She was born July 14, 1935, in Lawton, Okla. A former Las Vegas resident for 21 years, she retired as vice president from Primerit Bank.

She is survived by one son, Paul Sweeney of Los Angeles; two daughters, Lisa Secor of Fort Collins and Barbara Sweeney of Levan, Utah; and one sister, Francene Williams of Seattle.

Willie M. Gordon Jr.

Willie M. Gordon Jr., 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 14, 1933, in Meridian, Miss. A resident for 43 years, he was a hotel cook.

He is survived by one son, James Gordon of North Las Vegas; one brother, Joe L. Allen of Las Vegas; three sisters, Leatrill Broadus of Waco, Texas, and Eula Freeman and Lula Collins, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at at 11 a.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Bryce A. Hair

Bryce A. Hair, 75, of Cal Nev Ari died Saturday in Boulder City. He was born Sept. 29, 1927, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 13 years, he was a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Claire; four daughters, Christine Walters of Vero Beach, Fla., Jacqueline Gunderson of Wellsboro, Pa., Cela Erck of Newfane, N.Y., and LuAnn Hair of Erie, Pa.; three sons, Bryce Hair Jr. of Erie, William Hair of Newfane and Craig Hair of Florence, Mass.; three brothers, Arthur Hair Jr. of Ft. Myers, Fla., Edward Hair of Hickson, Tenn., and William Hair of Frewsburg, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, Boulder City, handled arrangements.

Walter L. Hughes Sr.

Walter L. Hughes Sr., 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 5, 1927, in Illinois. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired carpenter, and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Pahrump; 11 children; two sisters; 42 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be at 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Susan Karpati

Susan Karpati, 74, of Henderson died Sunday in Las Vegas. Born April 25, 1929, in Hungary, she was an actuary.

She is survived by one son, Dr. Ron Kline of Henderson.

Services are pending. Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Yang Geum Kim

Yang Geum Kim, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 15, 1915, in Gong Ju, Korea. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Myung Ja Kim of Seoul, Korea, and Chae Rin Kim of Las Vegas; three sons, Ik Ki Kim of Pohang, Korea, Kevin K. Kim of Miami and Kenny K. Kim of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Charles Laister

Charles Laister, 51, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Oct. 8, 1951, in Tillsonburg, Ontario. A resident for four years, he was a self-employed residential repairman.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; one son, Chris Laister of Little Rock, Ark.; two daughters, Renee Laister of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Charlotte Laister of Albany, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Wallace M. Nakata

Wallace M. Nakata, 71, of Las Vegas died May 24 in Las Vegas. He was born April 17, 1932, in Hawaii. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired manager.

He is survived by three sisters, Grace Kawazoe and Mildred Tsuda, both of Honolulu, and Gladys Ito of Pearl City, Hawaii.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Thursday in the Las Vegas Senior Center, 451 E. Bonanza Road. Burial will be in Hawaii. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Kenneth Edward Rousseau

Kenneth Edward Rousseau, 38, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born July 27, 1964, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a superintendent in the construction industry.

He is survived by his father, Rolland Rousseau, and his mother, Anita, both of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Cindy Wilhelm of Yerington and Denise Rousseau and Leslie Zieba, both of Las Vegas.

Myrtle 'Reba' Snyder

Myrtle "Reba" Snyder, 101, of Boulder City died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 19, 1901, in Minnesota. A resident for 60 years, she was a retired secretary.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; one daughter, Joan Swift of Henderson; two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

James Traynor

James Traynor, 65, of Boulder City died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born April 1, 1938, in Rockaway Beach, N.Y. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired chief accountant for an insurance company and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen; two sisters, Helen Howe of Oceanside, N.Y., and Mildred Risolo of Island Park, N.Y.; and one brother, Richard Traynor of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, followed by entombment in Palm Mausoleum.

Georgina F. Wallace

Georgina F. Wallace, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 13, 1920, in New York City. A resident for five years, she was a retired law enforcement dispatcher.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Lou Stark of Sacramento and Barbara Grantham of North Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to noon services Wednesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., followed by burial in Memory Gardens.

Mary Wellington

Mary Wellington, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. Born July 31, 1930, in Staten Island, N.Y., she was a computer programmer.

She is survived by one sister, Helen McDermont of Staten Island.

Services are pending. Burial will be in Staten Island.

Marcus B. Wesley

Marcus B. Wesley, 43, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 4, 1959, in Anniston, Ala. A resident for 35 years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by one son, Tyler Wesley of North Carolina; his parents, Jay and Rosetta Wesley of Las Vegas; six brothers, Jerry Wesley of Arizona and Terry Wesley, Jay Wesley Jr., Timothy Wesley, William Wesley and Steven Wesley, all of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Doris Blalock of Oklahoma, Valerie Sconyers of Las Vegas and Cassietta Jefferson of Texas.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Greater New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 D St., followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
