Henderson sets meeting on comprehensive plan

A public meeting on Henderson's comprehensive plan, which provides guidance on growth issues, will be at 6:30 p.m. June 16 at the Paseo Verde Library, 280 S. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson.

The meeting will give residents a chance to comment on what they would like to see in the newest version of the plan, which city officials expect to the City Council to act on in January or February 2004.

The current version of the Comprehensive Plan was approved by the council in 1996.

The plan provides direction to city staff, the council and the planning commission on topics such as land use, economic development, transportation, housing and parks and recreation.

Additional public meetings on the new version of the comprehensive plan will be held early next year before the council adopts a new plan.
