Dance party
Dance Charisma offers a Latin-themed dance party from 9-11 p.m. Sundays. Music will range from salsa, cha-cha, merengue and rumba. Admission is $6. 364-8700.
Storytelling
Storytellers James Bowen and Scott Hensley will play an assortment of instruments and teach children new tunes and dance steps at 2 p.m. Sunday at West Las Vegas Library, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd. The event is free. 507-3983.
Workshop

Movie series
The Clark County Parks and Community Services Department presents the "Starlight Movie Series," which continues at 8:30 p.m. today at Martin Luther King Park at the intersection of Carey Avenue and Christy Lane. Scripts are being accepted for the 16th Annual Nevada Film Office Screenplay Competition until June 30. Prizes include cash awards, a press conference/luncheon with the lieutenant governor of the state, gifts and promotion of the top three winning scripts to producers and production companies in Hollywood.
