Former UNLV quarterback Jason Thomas was waived by the New York Jets on Tuesday after the team tried to convert him to tight end.
Thomas was not drafted and signed with the Jets on May 2.
The Jets also signed free agent Will Glover, who was not drafted. He is the fourth-ranking wide receiver in Georgia Tech history.
