Hispanic Museum offers day camp
The Hispanic Museum of Nevada invites all youth ages 12-16 to the Institute of Culture day camp from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at the Cambridge Recreation Center, 3930 Cambridge St.
Participants will have the opportunity to create set designs, perform folk dances, learn basic photography, learn to cook authentic Spanish foods, produce a feature newspaper story and learn the basics of computer graphics.
Admission is $100.

Storyteller to play at Whitney Ranch
Storyteller James Bowen will perform at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, 1575 Galleria Drive.
Bowen is best known for performances infused with music and stories from the backwoods of Louisiana to the street corners of Nevada.
Admission is $3.
