Noreen Campagno

Noreen Campagno, 40, of Las Vegas died July 17 in Las Vegas. She was born June 13, 1963, in New York. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Christopher Campagno, and one daughter, Alicia Campagno, both of Las Vegas; her father, Andrew Barane of Ireland; her mother, Patricia Barane of Las Vegas; and one brother, Michael Barane of New York.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Mark D. Cox

Mark D. Cox, 48, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. An air conditioner installer, he was born June 29, 1955, in Chicago.

He is survived by his wife, Emily; three daughters, Heather Cox, Darla Eldredge and Christina Cox, all of Las Vegas; and three sons, Robert Spomer and Marcos Cox, both of Las Vegas and James Spomer of Portland, Ore.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Tony DeBenedittis

Tony DeBenedittis, 89, of Henderson died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 17, 1914, in Bari, Italy. A resident for 27 years, he was an electrical engineer for TWA airlines and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Prescia, and one son, Jerry DeBenedittis, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Rose O'Reilly and Lena Mendlinger, both of Whitestone, N.Y.; one brother, Joe DeBenedittis of Long Island, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Marguerite Elizabeth Evans

Marguerite Elizabeth Evans, 81, of Henderson died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 5, 1922, in Galena, Kan. A resident for 51 years, she was a food supervisor for Clark County.

She is survived by one daughter, Judith Qualls of Henderson; one brother, Paul Kinkade of Bradley, Ill.; five sisters, Katy Spivey and Dorothy Walton, both of Riverton, Kan., Betty Moore of Fort Smith, Ark., and Fran Cooper and Della McGuire, both of Galena; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Dorothy J. Fryman

Dorothy J. Fryman, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 21, 1927, in Monticello, Ill. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired waitress.

She is survived by two daughters, Paula K. Hites and Debra Williams, both of Las Vegas; one son, Michael P. Fryman of Denver; two sisters, Phyllis Chumbley of Monticello and Elsie Brown of Las Vegas; one brother, Edwin Welch of Windsor, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

Sabrina Ann Harris

Sabrina Ann Harris, 45, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 12, 1958, in Kentucky. A resident for 24 years, she was a housekeeper and a member of the Culinary Union.

She is survived by her mother, Martha Hegg; three brothers, Robert Garrison Jr. and Adrian Hegg, both of Las Vegas and Andy Garrison of Ohio; and one sister, Ingrid Garrison of Las Vegas.

Norman C. Harvey Jr.

Norman C. Harvey Jr., 56, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 11, 1946, in Miami Beach. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired geologist and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela C.; one daughter, Loree A. Harvey of Monte Vista, Colo.; two sons, Paul C. Harvey and Benjamin C. Harvey, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Esther V. Harvey, and one brother, Dawson C. Harvey, both of Seattle; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Douglas D. 'Hoff' Hoffman

Douglas D. "Hoff" Hoffman, 47, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 1, 1955, in Colon, Neb. A resident for 44 years, he was a retired hotel-casino valet parking attendant, a substitute teacher for the Clark County School District and was a varsity football player and graduate of Western High School.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Dale and Alice Hoffman, three sisters, Virginia Mahoney, Janeice Heins and Deborah Pixley, and two stepsisters, Linda Thorn and Nancy Jo Sleeper, all of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Milo Eilert Janssen, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born April 1, 1921, in South Dakota. A resident for 18 years, he was a construction worker.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Wendell Janssen of Arizona and Randy Christiansen of Utah; eight daughters, Kae Myers and Phillis Foster, both of Nebraska, Judy Finch of Nevada, Carolyn Patterson, Catheryn Simmons, Connie Henrie and Cheryl Walton, all of Utah and Colleen Robinson of Idaho; 38 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Arthur W. Johncox, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 5, 1917, in Crosby, N.D. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired Korean War and Vietnam War Navy chief petty officer.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma; two sons, Michael Johncox of Las Vegas and Bernie Pickard of San Diego; two daughters, Kay Cannon of Seattle and Sally Cox of Blaine, Wash.; one sister, Ruby Thilmany of Duluth, Minn.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Alma J. Kemp, 48, of North Las Vegas died Friday in North Las Vegas. A disabled hotel employee, she was born Sept. 26, 1954, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by two sons, Jemaine Kemp of Fort Bragg, N.C., and Marell Kemp of Reno; one daughter, Aisha Kemp, her mother, Barbara Hampton, and one sister, Tonya Hampton, all of North Las Vegas; one brother, Ronnie Craft of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Paul E. Lopshire, 87, of Las Vegas died July 27 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 20, 1915, in Indiana. A resident for 5 1/2 years, he was a civil engineer in the petroleum industry and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two daughters, Paula Oliver of New Mexico and Linda Helsmeyer of Boston; and two grandchildren.

Alice Lurati, 76, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born May 4, 1927, in Floresdale, Texas. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Edward; one brother, Freddy Botello of Kingman, Ariz.; five sisters, Arcilia Alford, Olga Sanchez and Rita Rodriguez, all of Las Vegas, Mary Louise Tapia and Guadalupe Ojeda, both of San Antonio and Gloria Ridge of Los Angeles.

Robert A. More, 43, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A photographer, he was born Nov. 8, 1959, in New York.

Vicky Jean Parham, 41, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 26, 1962, in Chicago. A resident for nine years, she was employed in the field of education.

She is survived by her husband, Jerome; three daughters, Winter Parham, Autumn Parham and Sydney Parham, and one son, Jerome N. Parham, all of Las Vegas; her mother, Dorothy Jones, her father, Raymond Wilkerson, her grandmother, Azie Simpson, and her grandfather, Birl Madden Sr., all of Chicago.

A memorial service will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cambridge Recreation Center, 3930 Cambridge St. A private burial will follow. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

'Cacho' Rivero

Alfonso "Cacho" Rivero, 75, died Friday in a local care center. He was born Nov. 14, 1927, in San Diego. A resident for 75 years, he was a Las Vegas High School graduate and member of its varsity football team "Dream Team of '44," was state pole vaulting champion and captain of the track and field team in 1945, a World War II Navy veteran and recipient of the Victory Medal, a 1952 graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering, a sheet metal employee for 25 years at casinos and schools, a Clark County juvenile court system bailiff for 18 years, a member of the Sheet Metal Union, the Civil Air Patrol and Latino Police Officers Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Arline in April 1994.

He is survived by five daughters, Carmen Henle, Ramona Geiger, Michelle Lakatos, Karen Byrd and Adele Cornman, two sons, Gregory Rivero and Mark Rivero, and one sister Carmen Martinez, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Alfred Rivero of Long Beach, Calif., and Frank Rivero of Hesperia, Calif.; his companion Melanie Were-Bey of Las Vegas; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way.

Mildred E. Rogers, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 2, 1928, in Jasper, Mo. A resident for 34 years, she was a bookkeeper for a hospital and a bank.

Thomas J. Volz, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 23, 1925, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired plumber and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Russ Volz of Las Vegas, Dan Volz of Vernal, Utah, and Allen Volz of Guthrie, Okla.; three daughters, Barbie Parks of Mayville, Okla., Susie Fisher of Temecula, Calif., and Laurie Bartman of Vernal; and 20 grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; two daughters, Kimberly Vrubley of Madison, Wis., and Kristine Anema of North Las Vegas; and two brothers, Lamont Lammers of Cedar Grove, Wis., and Norman Lammers of Odessa, Texas.
