Ann V. Barcus
Ann V. Barcus, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 8, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for 15 years, she was an executive secretary for a manufacturing company and a member of the Paradise Active Seniors Club for 10 years.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Carol Milazzo and Christine Hansen, both of Chicago; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service was scheduled at 3 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial was to follow.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Jorge Louise Bodon Jr.
Jorge Louise Bodon Jr., 42, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 4, 1960, in Cuba. A resident for 24 years, he was an architectural draftsman.
He is survived by one son, David; one daughter, Christina Zemora; his father, George; one brother, Daniel Boden; two sisters, Martiza and Iliana Sugameli; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Mickey Leroy Collins
Mickey Leroy Collins, 48, of Boulder City died Monday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 19, 1954, in West Virginia. A resident for 18 years, he was a mechanic for Findlay Toyota, president of the EZ Riders Motorcycle Club and a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa; two sons, Michael Collins and Steven Collins, and his stepfather, Robert Moorehead Sr., all of Boulder City; one sister, Debbie Collins of West Virginia; and one brother, David Collins of Georgia.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1. Services will be 9:20 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to Heart Institute of Nevada, 1090 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Victor Manuel Figueroa
Victor Manuel Figueroa, 50, of North Las Vegas died Saturday. A painter, he was born Dec. 25, 1952.
He is survived by his wife, Maria (Carmen) Figueroa; three sons, Manuel Angel Figueroa, Miguel Figueroa and Victor Manuel Figueroa Jr.; one daughter, Crystal Figueroa; and two grandchildren.
Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
James S. Kasitz
James S. Kasitz, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 11, 1939, in Cleveland. A resident for 15 years, he was a Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Murdoch of Las Vegas.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Betty A. Mayo
Betty A. Mayo, 75, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Oct. 19, 1927, in Butler, Pa. A resident for 52 years, she was a retired assistant physical therapist and a Salvation Army volunteer.
She is survived by four daughters, Cindy Mayo, Rita Pickart and Denise Jackson, all of Henderson, and Carolyn Hooks of Portsmouth, Va.; two sisters, Maxine Swartz of Vero Beach, Fla., and Rhea Hoover of Jamestown, N.Y.; two brothers, Jack Hetrick of Florida and Bud Hetrick of New Mexico; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
The family suggests donations to the Salvation Army, Adult Day Care, 830 E. Lake Mead Drive, Henderson, NV 89015.
Betty Pomeroy
Betty Pomeroy, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 22, 1924, in Cordell, Okla. A resident for 53 years, she was a retired hospital registered nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; two sons, Gary Bates and Ron Bates, both of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Beverly Pomeroy of Chico, Calif., and Jackie White of Alleghany, Calif.; one stepson, James L. Pomeroy of Coudersport, Pa.; one sister, Mary Lou Grovenburg of Grand Chenier, La.; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday with a 6 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass will be celebrated 8:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Salvador Rodriguez
Salvador Rodriguez, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A field hand, he was born Aug. 6, 1928, in San Salvador.
He is survived by his companion, Carman Abrego, four daughters, Mercedes Funes, Pastora Abrego, Rosanna Abrego and Maria Magdalena Abrego, and three sons, Ramon Rodriguez, Abraham Rodriguez and Raymundo Funes, all of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Marlon B. Sanders
Marlon B. Sanders, 38, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 28, 1964, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a hotel chef.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle, and one son, Rashard D. Sanders, both of North Las Vegas; one daughter, Melinda S. Tober of West Virginia; his parents, Delores and Willie Sanders Sr., and three sisters, Gloria Gantt, Victoria Sanders-Quinn and Tammy Ruiz, all of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Tommy Sanders and Dwayne Sanders, both of Las Vegas, and Willie Sanders Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.
Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greater St. Paul Church of God in Christ, 911 N. G St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Kay Hefley Songer
Kay Hefley Songer, 67, of Las Vegas died July 13 in a local care center. He was born April 3, 1936, in Colorado. A resident for 13 years, he was a taxicab driver and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Gay C.; two sons, Kern Revels and Mark Revels; two daughters, Karyn and Leah; two brothers, Steve and Sylvan; one sister, Sue; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Julian P. Yearwood
Julian P. Yearwood, 30, of Las Vegas died Saturday. A football player, he was born Sept. 15, 1972, in Panama.
He is survived by one son, Julian Phillip Yearwood, and his mother, Jacinta Williamson, both of Las Vegas; his father, Julian P. Yearwood of Panama; two sisters, Yanina Yearwood of Virginia Beach, Va., and Natasha Yearwood of Las Vegas; and one brother, Jason Yearwood of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
John Amber Young
John Amber Young, 56, of Pahrump died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 17, 1947, in Orange, Calif. A resident for 22 years, he was a carpenter and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by one brother, Don Young of Las Vegas; and one sister, Betty Petterson of Roseberg, Ore.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
