EDMONTON, Alberta -- Chin-Feng Chen and Bubba Crosby homered and Alfredo Gonzalez earned his first victory as the 51s defeated the Edmonton Trappers, 5-1, in a Pacific Coast League game Monday night at TELUS Field.

Gonzalez (1-0) worked seven innings in his first start for the 51s and held the Trappers to one run on five hits. Steve Proctor pitched two scoreless innings to earn his first save.

The victory pulled the 51s within 4 1/2 games of first-place Sacramento in the PCL's Southern Division.

The four-game series resumes tonight at Edmonton. The 51s return home Friday night to play the Albuquerque Isotopes.
