Sertoma to host benefit tournament
The Las Vegas Paradise Sertoma Club will host the seventh annual Pinjuv GolfTournament beginning with registration at 6:30 a.m. Friday at the Revere Golf Club, 2600 Hampton Road, Henderson.
The event was started to raise funds and awareness for deaf children in the Las Vegas area.
The cost is $135 and includes green fees, cart, beverages, lunch, an awards reception and door prizes.

Class offered on careers in nursing
For those who are interested in a career in nursing, but in need of guidance, a Nursing From College to Careers class will be offered from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Barbara Greenspun WomensCare Center of Excellence, 100 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite No. 330.
Sandra Cromwell and Sandy Rush, St. Rose Dominican Hospital's vice presidents of nursing, along with representatives of University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Nevada State College and Community College of Southern Nevada, will be on hand to talk about the different nursing programs and scholarship opportunities available. Omega Psi Phi Fraternity,
Kapp XI Chapter, will hold its 2003 Wine Tasting event from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Wild Horse Golf Club, 2100 W. Warm Springs Road. Tickets are $40; $35 in advance. Call 460-7636.
