Letter: System fails with no compromise

I would like to remind some of your readers that our system of government is based on compromise and fails to work when elected officials simply sit in their chairs and stare at the ceiling.

Compromise is exactly what our state's elected officials failed to do and that is precisely what caused an intrusion into legislative matters by the judiciary.

I had to laugh upon hearing and seeing in print the screams from several of those same elected officials when their failure to perform their duty went against them. At least by providing a prompt judgment, the Nevada Supreme Court did not fail in its duty, which is more than can be said for the other two branches.

Now this same gang of "responsibility shifters" is trying to recall the members of the one branch of our state government that is still trying to do its job. Well, I expect there are a lot of other disgusted people out there just like me who will be voting next time against those do-nothing people who don't understand the process.
