Bridal show

Bridal Spectacular Events, the largest bridal show producer in Nevada, will hold its next show from 6 p.m.-10:30 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Cashman Center. 368-0088.

Poets' corner

Local personalities Keith Brantley and Pendelita Toney will host a poet's corner at 7:30 p.m. today at the West Las Vegas Art Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Admission is free. 229-4800.

Pioneer Day Parade

The fourth annual Pioneer Day Parade begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at Estes McDoniel Elementary School's parking lot on Fox Ridge Drive in Green Valley and ends up at Fox Ridge Park, where events will include square dancing, handmade quilt displays, quilting for charity and horses.

Puppeteer

Puppeteer Roger Rankin will present his special stories at the following locations. Performances are free.

The city of Las Vegas' Cultural Affairs Division offers the animated film, "Monsters, Inc.," at 8 p.m. as part of its ongoing family film series Thursday at Jaycee Park, at the corner of South Eastern Avenue and St. Louis Avenue. Admission is free. 229-6713.

Free movie

Sculpture contest

Entries are being accepted for a sculpture contest held by the Pulidor Foundation/Spirit of the Nations, in preparation for its second annual Native American Arts & International Film Festival from Nov. 14-16.
