Donald Leroy Blanchard
Donald Leroy Blanchard, 65, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. A building contractor and a Korean War Army veteran, he was born Aug. 30, 1937, in Klamath Falls, Ore.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta; one daughter, Valerie Blanchard of Las Vegas; one son, Edward Blanchard of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and one grandchild.
Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial followed in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Ron 'Doc' Brown
Ron "Doc" Brown, 65, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 2, 1938, in Oregon. A resident for 22 years, he was an automobile mechanic.
He is survived by two sisters, Sharon Schilder of Las Vegas and Beverly LaPierre of California.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Brian Lee Caronna
Brian Lee Caronna, 39, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 28, 1963, in Patchogue, N.Y. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired fire proofer in the construction industry.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie; three sons, Nicholas Caronna and Brian Caronna Jr., both of Las Vegas, and Daniel Caronna of Phoenix; one daughter, Ashley Caronna of Phoenix; and one grandchild.
Services will be noon Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Brandon James Cutler
Brandon James Cutler, 18, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 21, 1984, in Boise, Idaho. A resident for 11 years, he was a student.
He is survived by his parents, Gary and Tammy Cutler, and two sisters, Kelsey Cutler and Kourtney Cutler, all of Las Vegas; and one brother, Bud Wiser of Portland, Ore.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Angelina M. Giordano
Angelina M. Giordano, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 2, 1924, in Detroit. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Elena M. Prestigiacomo and Eleanora G. Burns, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Anthony Giordano of Las Vegas and Joseph Giordano of Michigan; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. A private burial will follow. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Charla Dawn Gowan
Charla Dawn Gowan, 34, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 8, 1968, in Seminole, Texas. A resident for four years, she was a custodian at UNLV.
She is survived by one son, Kayle Howington of Colorado; her guardians, Gerald C. and JoAnn Hornbeck of Las Vegas; three brothers, Guy Gowan and Dale Gowan, both of Colorado, and Gary Hornbeck of Arizona; and two sisters, Dorothy Fuller of Colorado and Brandi Rodriguez of Arizona.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Colorado.
Robert Harris
Robert Harris, 66, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 28, 1937, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, an Army veteran and a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers.
He is survived by his wife, Una; two daughters, Donna Jean Parker and Melissa White, both of Las Vegas; and four sisters, Anna Hook of Compton, Calif., Rosalyn Harris of San Diego, Viola Harris of Long Beach, Calif., and Donna Shipp of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Abundant Life Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1720 N. J St.

James P. Jasper
James P. Jasper, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 11, 1934, in Sayer, Okla. A resident for 20 years, he was a real estate executive.
He is survived by three daughters, Connie Burkhart of Hayden Lake, Idaho, Joann Oliver of Salt Lake City and Janna Pendley of Apache Junction, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

James Carl Love, 44, of Las Vegas died July 3 in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 27, 1959, in California. A resident for 20 years, he was a hotel porter.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Joyce; and one sister, Karin Robinson.

George Robert Nelson, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 13, 1919, in North Dakota. A resident for many years, he was a postal worker and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by two sisters, Esther Holste of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Sadie Krehamp of Cambridge, Mass.

Blanca Nicks, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. A homemaker, she was born Dec. 24, 1933, in Mexico.
She is survived by two daughters, Ingrid Nicks Gerbich and Elizabeth Barke; and one son, Alfred Barke.

Christine "Omi" Nuernberg, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. A retired office manager for a health care firm, she was born Jan. 12, 1940, in Augsburg, Germany.
She is survived by one son, Kenny Nuernberg of Las Vegas; her mother, Gisela Nuernberg of Concord, Calif.; two sisters, Heidi of Germany and Ingrid of Los Angeles; two brothers, Dieter and Hienze, both of Germany; and seven grandchildren.

Mitchel 'Lanny' Price
Mitchel "Lanny" Price, 58, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 20, 1945, in Los Angeles. A resident for 11 years, he was an assistant supervisor in the gaming industry.
He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Dawn Smith of Maryland and Jennifer Svensson of Henderson; two sons, Christopher Brett Price of Virginia and Michael Laird of Las Vegas; two brothers, Grant Price and Sheldon M. Price, both of California; and 10 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Thelma L. Robinson
Thelma L. Robinson, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born April 30, 1924, in Los Angeles. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired manicurist.
She is survived by one daughter, Diana Robinson of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchchild.

Horton 'Red' Stone Jr.
Horton "Red" Stone Jr., 87, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born June 19, 1916, in Spooner, Minn. A resident for 57 years, he was a retired inspector for the city government, a member of the Optimists Club, Boy Scouts of America, Carpenters Union and Federation of Building Inspectors.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; one daughter, Susan Hardy of Henderson; two sons, H.J. Stone III of Las Vegas and George Stone of Cottonwood, Ariz.; two sisters, Lois Egan of Newport Beach, Calif., and Julie Von Ruden of Reno; one brother, John Stone of Oregon; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Dorthy Stout, 70, of Pahrump died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 18, 1933, in Adrian, Mich. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired teacher.
She is survived by two daughters, Pam Steffani of Las Vegas and Becky Hunter of Pahrump; two sons, Doug Stout and Jeff Stout, both of Pahrump; and eight grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in Chief Tecopa Cemetery, Pahrump. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Neal C. Torti
Neal C. Torti, 62, of Las Vegas died Saturday. A retired health care salesman, he was born Jan. 17, 1941, in Milwaukee.
He is survived by two sons, Gary Moslavac of Milwaukee and Bruce Rennock of Daly City, Calif.

Alice White
Alice White, 52, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1950, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for more than 20 years, she was a retired Excalibur poker dealer.
She is survived by her mother, Malfalda White; and five sisters, Joanne Crapanzano, Lorraine O'Neill, Mary Gilmartin, Joyce Pollak and Jan Pollak.

She is survived by one son, Bob T. White of Henderson; one sister, Virginia Werner of Denver; one brother, William Dahmke of Florida; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
