88 students affected by school’s closure

The Dahan Institute of Massage Studies has closed, leaving 88 students who were enrolled in classes pursuing other instruction options in Las Vegas.
Dahan officials couldn't be reached for comment on why the business closed.
David Perlman, administrator of the Nevada Commission on Postsecondary Education, said today that his office is working with other schools to arrange for instructors to teach courses in which Dahan students were enrolled.
The school at 3320 E. Flamingo Road, Suite 32, closed on Sunday and Perlman said his staff met students who had arrived for class to explain their options.
Perlman said he should know by Friday whether accrediting organizations would permit instructors at the Nevada Career Institute and the Nevada School of Massage Therapy to complete instruction for Dahan students. He said another option is that a private buyer could take over the school and complete courses for existing students. A potential buyer is investigating such a plan, Perlman said, but he would not identify that buyer.
