VegasBeat — Timothy McDarrah: Agassi returns service at Tabu

Andre Agassi has put together a true power list of supporters helping him toss a July 22 bash at Tabu to benefit his Agassi College Preparatory Academy.

Among the names that jumped out were Tom Breitling and Tim Poster (the partners who sold Travelscape.com and recently bought the Golden Nugget), real-estate titan Mark Weinberg, young developer Douglas Crook, former Sporting House owner Corey Jenkins, filmmaker Trent Othick, MGM MIRAGE exec Bill Hornbuckle and Ed Borgato of the Javelin Partners hedge fund.

Also in the group: Agassi's longtime associates Todd Wilson and Perry Rogers, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf prez Jeffrey Fine and Station Casinos exec Lorenzo Fertitta.

On Sept. 13 Lisa Marie Presley will give the first full-length concert by a Presley since her dad was in town.

She did a few songs here in May as part of the VH1 Divas show, but her upcoming House of Blues show will feature most of the cuts on her new album, "To Whom It May Concern," and some covers -- but probably no Elvis songs.

Presley has been spending most of the summer opening for Chris Isaak.

Tickets for her Vegas show go on sale July 25.

Caesars Palace announced Thursday what VegasBeat reported last month: Gloria Estefan will play The Colosseum.

"Gloria Estefan Live & Unwrapped" will be "an explosive multimedia experience mixing music, dance and costumes," Caesars President Mark Juliano said in a statement.

Tickets, priced from $87.50 to $175, go on sale July 21 for her seven-show engagement from Oct. 10 to Oct. 19 (performances are dark Oct. 13, Oct. 14 and Oct. 15).

Also, a Caesars source shot down a Billboard story on Friday reporting Elton John was negotiating for a "three-year, $54 million engagement beginning in 2004."

"Celine's contract doesn't even end until 2006, so how could Elton John play there starting in 2004?" the source pointed out.

Former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page had dinner Thursday night at Charlie Palmer Steak (Four Seasons).

She's a sellout. In a good way.

Lori Benson's art show at Caramel (Bellagio) was a jam-packed affair Thursday night, and most of the pieces on display were sold.

The club is starting to integrate events such as the art show into its rotation of special events, and draw a different type of crowd from time to time.

Some of the art aficionados attending: Robin Leach, Chef Kerry Simon, Jada Fire, Light Special Events Director Annmarie Batteria, sex therapist Dr. Adele Zorn, Tony Cordasco and Robert Earl, the author of "X-treme Cuisine" and who was just dubbed by Forbes magazine as "the Martha Stewart of youth culture."
