A year ago, he went hitless in five at-bats with the Dodgers. Now he'll get more time to acclimate to the big leagues, and he left to join the parent team in Denver right after the 51s beat Iowa.
Instead, the performance turned in by Scott Proctor against Fresno at Cashman Field on July 3 bumped Langone out of the way. Proctor recorded no outs, while four earned runs were charged to him. Ouch.
Colorado Springs, which swept a four-game series here last season, starts a four-game set at Cashman on Thursday.
