Letter: President’s taunt provoked attacks
Thursday, July 10, 2003 | 8:37 a.m.
When President Bush issued his "Bring them on" challenge to Iraqi dissidents he provoked more attacks, which are resulting in more U.S. military casualties. Bush, who has never been in combat, seems to find it very easy to be brave behind the walls of his fortress on Pennsylvania Avenue.
His immature statements, however, did nothing more than provoke more attacks and made Iraq an even more dangerous place for our brave American men and women in the military services who are stationed there.
Perhaps Bush would not behave in such an irresponsible manner if he or some other member of his family were putting their lives on the line in the service of their country. Shame on you, Mr. Bush. This is no way for a president to behave.
