Profit improves for bank

Citing improved operational efficiencies, Henderson-based Silver State Bancorp announced second quarter net income of $1.4 million, or $1.08 per share -- up from $543,000 or 41 cents in the year-ago quarter.
"We have made a conscious effort to enhance our operations and service delivery," said Tod Little, chief executive of Silver State Bancorp. "Those efficiencies are now providing tangible results to our shareholders."
