Charles S. Benjamin

Charles S. Benjamin, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 4, 1917, in Brocton, N.Y. A resident for five years, he was a retired U.S. Postal Service clerk, a World War II Coast Guard veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by one son, Norman W. Cordt of Las Vegas; and one sister, Lucille Horlacher of Brocton.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Chuck Crippen

Chuck Crippen, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 17, 1921, in Humboldt, S.D. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired parts manager, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Ogden, Utah, Lions, Eagles and Kiwanis clubs, and the Gemological Society.

He is survived by his wife, Beryl; two daughters, Sharon Purdy of Layton, Utah, and Susan Zumbo of Las Vegas; four sons, Charles Crippen of Fredericksburg, Va., Craig Crippen of Las Vegas, Bruce Crippen of Pahrump and Scott Crippen of San Diego; three sisters, Evelyn Hayls of Missouri, Loris Rose of Woodland Hills, Calif., and Doris Schriedrich of Garden Grove, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 8:30-11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow at noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Hommer Davison

Hommer Davison, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 1, 1940, in Louisiana. A resident for 36 years, he was a hotel kitchen worker.

He is survived by his companion, Patricia Board of Las Vegas; five brothers, Arthur Davidson, Johnny Davidson, James Davidson and J.B. Davidson, all of Las Vegas and Nemirah of North Las Vegas; three sisters, Jerry Davison and Roberta Watkins, both of Las Vegas and Lizzie Wide of North Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1941 N. H St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Drenka Djuric

Drenka Djuric, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born April 3, 1921, in Serbia. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired tailor.

She is survived by her husband, Janko; four daughters, Olivera Poleksic, Dusanka Grba, Milka Petrovic and Lillian Eversole, all of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Church services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Simeon Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Billie O. Fernstrom, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 20, 1919, in Tennessee. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, John of Yucca Valley, Calif., and James of Seattle; one daughter, Brenda Nunez of Las Vegas; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mary Louise Figuera, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born July 31, 1931, in Santa Rosa, Calif. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Cecilia DiGiaimo and Karen Drumheller, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Tony Figuera and Steven Figuera, both of Las Vegas and Mark Figuera of Williams, Calif.; four sisters, Gladys Adorni of Santa Rosa, Calif., Joyce Doan of San Francisco, Rosie Mikco of Oregon and Anita Clampitt of Arizona; two brothers, Pat Lovell of San Jose, Calif., and Neil Lovell of Santa Rosa; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Rodger Anthony Graef, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 21, 1921, in Michigan. A resident for 15 years, he was an insurance sales agent, an Air Force veteran, a member of the Elks Lodge, Kiwanis Club and Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ann; three sons, Dwight Anthony, Brian Anthony and Mark Anthony Graef; one daughter, Catherine Prest; one brother, Byron Anthony Graef; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Cindy Marie Grappin, 36, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 22, 1967, in Michigan. A resident for eight years, she was a saleswoman in the entertainment field.

She is survived by her parents, Donald O. and Edwina P. Grappin of Linwood, Mich.

Frank T. Griscavage

Frank T. Griscavage, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 4, 1916, in Breslau, Pa. A resident for three years, he was a retired construction worker and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Stephania; one daughter, Lorraine Griscavage-Frisbee of Las Vegas; three sisters, Martha Bigus of Lyndwood, Pa., Eleanor Swantkoski of Kingston, Pa., and Sally Florek of Newark, N.J.; and one grandchild.

Yvonne Elizabeth Jesperson, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 9, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for 33 years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by her husband, John; one son, Kenneth Hartnett, and five sisters, Lorain Yuska, Marie Sullivan, Marilyn Watson, Vernice Kleburg and Ann Hamm, all of Chicago; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Jeffrey Enos of Lakeland, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Albert L. Ponzini, 76, of Las Vegas died July 2 in Las Vegas. He was born March 31, 1927, in California. A resident for 22 years, he retired as a chef from a shipping company, was a Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by two daughters, Julie and Cecelia; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Kenneth W. Weisman, 78, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 29, 1925, in Ohio. A resident for six years, he was a tool and die maker.

He is survived by his wife, Eneria; one son, Allan G. Weisman of Las Vegas; one brother, Nelson Weisman of Indiana; and three grandchildren.

Douglas W. Westbrook, 72, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born June 28, 1931, in Waverly, N.Y. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired Korean War and Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Aida; two daughters, Debbie Westbrook and Linda Westbrook, both of San Diego; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
