Gertrude E. Albers
Gertrude E. Albers, 84, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born June 24, 1919, in Milwaukee. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Elwood L.; one son, Ron Albers, and one brother, Herbert Bergmann, both of California; five sisters, Eunice West of Ohio, June Reynolds and Beverly Albers, both of Wisconsin and Barbara Cavaleski and Elaine Stachowiak, both of Mesa, Ariz.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Patricia A. Besse
Patricia A. Besse, 55, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. A retired nursing agent, she was born Jan. 15, 1948, in Bird Island, Minn.
She is survived by two daughters, Nicole Surges of Minneapolis and Dana McPhillips of Henderson.
A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Grace Egerter
Grace Egerter, 94, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Henderson. She was born June 13, 1909, in Germany. A resident for 28 years, she was a salad lady.
She is survived by one daughter, Ann Egerter Strawser of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Thersia Stadler, Ottlie "V" Blacker and Hildagard Mayer, all of Germany.
Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.
Elmer J. Farkas
Elmer J. Farkas, 71, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born March 25, 1932, in Cleveland. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired automobile salesman and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Linda M.; three daughters, Sharon Costello of Henderson, Darlene Tracy of Rosamond, Calif., and Judy McMartin of Las Vegas; four sons, Elmer M. Farkas and Larry Farkas, both of Torrance, Calif., Ronnie Farkas of Las Vegas and Chuck Farkas of Henderson; one sister, Yolanda Koster of Brook Park, Ohio; one brother, Rudy Farkas of Henderson; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Judson Kay Granger
Judson Kay Granger, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local convalescent hospital. He was born Jan. 20, 1931, in Huntington Beach, Calif. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired air conditioning specialist and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Charles Groboski
Charles Groboski, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born May 25, 1916, in Chicago. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired conveyor controller in the cosmetics industry.
Services were 10 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 131 N. Ninth St. Burial followed in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.
Myrtle H. Oswald
Myrtle H. Oswald, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Oct. 1, 1928, in Illinois.
She is survived by her husband, Michael.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Illinois. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
William Patri
William Patri, 64, of Las Vegas died June 24 in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 22, 1938, in Los Angeles. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired supervisor of a water quality management company and a Coast Guard veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Teri Patri of Las Vegas and Miki Hughes of Acton, Calif.; two sons, Tony Patri of Las Vegas and Rod Bradford of Camarillo, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., handled arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Leukemia Society of America, 600 Third Ave., New York, NY 10016.
Louis Sistrunk
Louis Sistrunk, 57, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 15, 1945, in Sondheimer, La. A resident for 39 years, he was a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Darren Sistrunk and Rodney T. Sistrunk Sr., and two daughters, Jaqueline L. Sistrunk and Shirlette D. Sistrunk, all of North Las Vegas; six brothers, Cornelius Lee and George Walker, both of Louisiana, and Cornelius "Bobby" Burrell, O.C. Walker, Tom Walker and Archie M. Jett, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Liza Walker of Tallulah, La., Brenda Taylor of Vallejo, Calif., and Carrie Walker of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
