Blood drives scheduled
Sites of blood drives Monday for United Blood Services, 6930 W. Charleston Blvd.:
7 a.m. to noon, Sunrise Hospital, 3186 S. Maryland Parkway; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., University of Nevada, Las Vegas, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Hilton Grand Vacations, 7160 Bermuda Road; 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Elizondo Elementary School, 4865 Goldfield St., North Las Vegas.
Items sought for homeless youths
A donation drive sponsored by Nevada State Bank to collect items for homeless youth in Las Vegas will be conducted through July 30 at all 19 of Nevada State Bank locations in Smith's supermarkets.
Items needed include: new white crew socks, watches, lip balm, grocery store gift cards, backpacks, sunscreen, pre-paid phone cards, shoes, roll-on deodorant. All clothing items should be sized to fit teens.
