University Medical Center chief executive Bill Hale, who steps down today in the wake of continuing financial problems at the hospital, will take little with him except accrued vacation pay, Clark County spokesman Eric Pappa said Thursday.
Hale, who made an annual salary of more than $239,000, will receive a check for $36,345 for the accrued vacation days, Pappa said. Hale will have no other severance, he said.
UMC Chief Financial Officer Mike Walsh has been pegged to take over as interim chief executive until the county completes a national search for a replacement.
