Letter: Good riddance to this retiree
Friday, Jan. 31, 2003 | 9:37 a.m.
This letter is in response to Don McDonald's Jan. 28 letter headlined, "High taxes will chase many away from Las Vegas."
Mr. McDonald stated he was a retiree who moved to Nevada to take advantage of Nevada's low taxes and that he can leave by the same road that brought him here.
Mr. McDonald, don't let the "Welcome" sign hit you in the butt on the way out! Go right ahead and find your tax-free paradise. We don't want you nor do we need you, or anyone else who doesn't think they have an obligation to support our education system. Maybe if you had had a better education system when you were young, you might not have to complain about not having a generous pension today.
