Ensign named to subcommittee

WASHINGTON -- Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., will head the Armed Services Committee's panel on military readiness and management support, Armed Services Chairman John Warner, R-Va., announced Thursday.
The subcommittee deals with military equipment, training and property issues. It tackles topics varying from Defense Department computer vulnerabilities to weapons modernization and morale.
This is Ensign's first year on the 24-member Armed Services Committee.
