BOSTON -- MGM MIRAGE is eager to roll the dice in South Boston, where the Las Vegas-based casino giant said Wednesday that it envisions building a casino and entertainment complex near the state's struggling $800 million convention center.
If lawmakers expand gambling, MGM MIRAGE sees South Boston's fast-developing Seaport District as a prime site for a casino, hotel and entertainment complex, Alan Feldman, a top MGM executive, told the Boston Herald.
Park Place Entertainment Corp., Harrah's Entertainment Inc. and Venetian owner Sheldon Adelson also are interested in developing gambling resorts in Massachusetts.
