Currently: In her second season in Oxford, Miss., Cansdale is developing into a regular contributor for the Lady Rebels. Cansdale is averaging 5.7 points for Ole Miss, which stands at 11-7 overall despite a five-game losing streak. Cansdale has seen action in all 18 games, averaging more than 15 minutes per game. Her 20 3-pointers rank second on the team, and her 16 steals place her in a tie for third. Cansdale's high water mark came against Illinois-Chicago, when the 5-foot-8 guard notched 16 points.
Looking back: Cansdale became one of the most storied players in the strong recent history of Gaels girls basketball, setting the all-time scoring mark with more than 1,400 career points. During a senior campaign in which she earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors in Nevada, Cansdale averaged 20.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 5.1 steals. She earned All-State honors in her junior and senior campaigns, and also lettered in track and volleyball.
