Dorothy M. Abner

Dorothy M. Abner, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 24, 1925, in Knox, Ind. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired department store saleswoman.

She is survived by two sons, Bill Abner of Las Vegas and Ronald Abner of Indianapolis; one daughter, Janet Abner of Pomona, Calif.; one sister, Katherine Reed of Victorville, Calif.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Manuel R. Aguirre

Manuel R. Aguirre, 47, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 23, 1955, in Tijuana, Mexico. A resident for three years, he was a hotel porter.

He is survived by one son, Manuel Aguirre, two daughters, Sandra Aguirre and Monica Aguirre, and his mother, Mauricia Aguirre, all of Perris, Calif.; three brothers, Augie Aguirre and Ceasar Aguirre, both of Perris, and Enrique Ayala of Tijuana; two sisters, Leonor Del Rincon of Perris and Maria Elena Valenzuela of Imperial Beach, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until a 2 p.m. service Wednesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Paul H. 'J.R.' Barker

Paul H. "J.R." Barker, 48, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 12, 1954, in Kansas City, Kan. A resident for 14 years, he was a disabled Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran and a member of the 51 Club.

He is survived by one daughter, Sandy Scheffler of Henderson; four sons, Blaise Herberg of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and Mitch Barker, Bill Barker and Bob Barker, all of Henderson; his mother, Donis Barker of Henderson; two brothers, Jerry Barker of Richmond, Texas, and Greg Barker of Beaumont, Calif.; and her grandmother, Lila E. Clary of Manhattan, Kan.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and noon-1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Thursday at Highland Hills Baptist Church, 615 College Drive, Henderson. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Mildred Burch

Mildred Burch, 88, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 2, 1914.

Bernice Chitren

Bernice Chitren, 63, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 14, 1939. A resident for 26 years, she was a registered nurse and a member of Nevada Nurses Association.

She is survived by four sons, Douglas Chitren of Beatty, Phillip Chitren of Reno, Ed Chitren of Dallas and Steve Chitren of Las Vegas; one sister, Grace Collette of Manahawkin, N.J.; and six grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Thomas Lee Coleman

Thomas Lee Coleman, 38, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for 13 years, he was born Nov. 27, 1964, in Dayton, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Julia; and his mother, Jimmie Coleman of Nacogdoches, Texas.

Stephen Michael Fiasco Jr.

Stephen Michael Fiasco Jr., of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born in Camp Springs, Md. A resident for 20 years, he was an audio-visual technician at the MGM Grand and a Bishop Gorman High School graduate.

He is survived by his companion, Dena Dunivent of Las Vegas; his mother and stepfather, Rosemary and Mike McComas of Las Vegas; his father and stepmother, Stephen and Mia Fiasco, one brother, Ross Fiasco, and two stepsisters, Brittini and Brandy, all of Indian Springs.

Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Allen John Gerace

Allen John Gerace, 76, of North Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 18, 1926, in Chicago. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired police officer and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; one son, Thomas Gerace of Loleta, Calif.; three sisters, Charmaine Monroe of Las Vegas, June Beaudry of Westminster, Colo., and Kay Bruno of Sparks; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Wednesday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Anne M. Gibbons

Anne M. Gibbons, 86, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 23, 1916, in Cleveland. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired seamstress.

She is survived by one son, Norman of Las Vegas; two sisters, Rose Walsh of California; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Nancy Ruth Lewis

Nancy Ruth Lewis, 67, of Pahrump died Dec. 10 in Las Vegas. She was born April 7, 1935, in Denver. A resident for 29 years, she was a casino bookkeeper, a former member of the Elks and Moose of Las Vegas.

She is survived by one daughter, Catherine Rumpler of Highland, Calif.; three grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Helen Littlewood

Helen Littlewood, 86, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 6, 1917, in Richfield, Utah. A resident for six months, she was a retired account clerk for the county government, past matron of Eastern Star Nevada Chapter 13 and a member of Daughters of the Nile.

She is survived by one son, Gary Littlewood of Las Vegas; one sister, Ann Taylor of Grantsville, Utah; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is private. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Ely City Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Norma M. Lorraine

Norma M. Lorraine, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 10, 1926, in St. Louis. A resident for 27 years, she was a retired vocalist.

She is survived by two daughters, Ava Gribble of Alaska and Tracey Lamont Kless of Las Vegas; three stepsons, Rick Lorraine of Dallas, Peter Lorraine of Canada and Steven Lorraine of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 7 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.

Joseph M. Mihalich

Joseph M. Mihalich, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born March 1, 1923, in Bulger, Pa. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired steel worker and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Viola D.; two sisters, Minnie Homitz of Midway, Pa., and Margaret Kadora of Pittsburgh; and one brother, Albert Mihalic of Burgettstown, Pa.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Wednesday with a 6:30 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. A memorial service will be in Bulger. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Louise McDowell

Louise McDowell, 78, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 28, 1924, in Delhi, La. A resident for 10 years, she was a housekeeping employee for a mortuary.

She is survived by three sons, Joe McDowell of Las Vegas, Ray V. McDowell of Kansas City, Kan., and James Williams of Los Angeles; four daughters, Geanetter McDowell, Rezenia Walker and Velma Hilton, all of Las Vegas; and Darlene Lewis of Atlanta; one sister, Lucille Lockett of Oakland, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be noon Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Mausoleum.

David Mofchum

David Mofchum, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born April 13, 1920, in New York City. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired electrical engineer, a World War II Army veteran, a member of Veterans in Politics, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Society of 3rd Infantry Division and Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by three daughters, Gay Howard of Agoura, Calif., Nancy Fahlstrom of Lancaster, Calif., and Penny White of Burbank, Calif.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11:20 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Elizabeth Ann Olsen

Elizabeth Ann Olsen, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 21, 1914, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Jeanie Rickdall of Las Vegas and Judith Ann Platos of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; and one grandchild.

Theodore R. Osolin

Theodore R. Osolin, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Jan. 22, 1919, in Illinois. A resident for one year, he was a sheet metal worker.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; two sons, Daniel E. Osolin of Illinois and Randall J. Osolin of Alaska; two daughters, LaRonge Garth of Las Vegas and Carol Lee Caputo of Wisconsin; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Antonino C. Pancake Jr.

Antonino C. Pancake Jr., 38, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 5, 1964, in Phoenix. A resident for 20 years, he was an aviation parts manager.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; his father, Antonino Pancake Sr. of Yarnell, Ariz.; his mother, Mary Ann Boyer, one brother, James Tunnell, and one sister, Cheryl Taylor, all of Las Vegas; and his grandfather, James Hazelhurst of Yarnell.

John 'Jack' Peard

John "Jack" Peard, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 22, 1924, in Ripon, Calif. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired electrician and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons, Mike of Las Vegas and Dave of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one daughter, Sharon Parks; one sister, Shirley Haller of Modesto, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Joseph Pesaturo, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Johnston, R.I. A resident for 27 years, he worked for Battista's Hole in the Wall restaurant.

He is survived by one daughter, Michell Hord of Kingman, Ariz.; one brother, Albert Pesaturo; two sisters, Jean Klatt of Newington, Conn., and Florence Harmon of Northfolk, Va.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Nicholas Phelps, 75, of Henderson died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 2, 1927, in Missouri. A resident for 18 years, he worked for the power company.

He is survived by his wife, Fern; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Creston D. Rolling, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 22, 1919, in Blue, Okla. A resident for six years, he was a retired chef and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Edna; two sons, Ronald Rolling of Honolulu and William Rolling of Portland, Ore.; and one grandchild.

Florence Siefert

Florence Siefert, 87, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 26, 1916, in Milwaukee. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

Harry "Gene" Thomfohrda, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 6, 1937, in Algonquin, Ill. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired general merchandise clerk, a member of the Moose for 45 years and Tops of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; one daughter, Penny Buchholz of Holcombe, Wis.; one son, Carl Thomfohrda of Balsam Lake, Wis.; one brother, Willard Thomfohrda of Woodstock, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Nila Tsimalis, 46, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A coffee shop manager at the Golden Nugget, she was born in Ventura, Calif.

She is survived by one son, Paul Tsimalis of Las Vegas; two daughters, Misty Cox of Las Vegas and Jennifer Bise of Crystal; her mother, Elnora White, and one sister, Pam Godwin, both of Crystal; and three grandchildren.

Pauline M. Warren

Pauline M. Warren, 90, of Las Vegas, died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 12, 1913, in Fairport, N.Y. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Janice Lee Day of Martha, Okla., and Joyce Ann Bancroft of Michigan City, Ind.; one son, Vernell Warren of Las Vegas; one sister, Gladys of Florida; one brother, Robert Lucas of Fairport; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

William E. Weyer

William E. Weyer, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 21, 1929, in East Syracuse, N.Y. A resident for 29 years, he was a retired Air Force technical sergeant.

He is survived by his wife, Waltraut I.; one daughter, Ruby Roseberry, and one son, William E. Weyer, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Don Weyer and Harold Weyer, both of East Syracuse; and four grandchildren.
