MILWAUKEE -- A man was charged with leaving his 5-year-old daughter alone in an unheated car in 5-degree weather while he gambled at Potawatomi Bingo Casino.
The 30-year-old man, of Franklin, was charged Monday with child neglect in a criminal complaint that says he admitted leaving the girl alone with two blankets and a pillow in the back seat when he went inside the casino "to make some money."
A security guard patrolling the casino parking lot spotted the girl and took her inside after she was in the car for about 90 minutes Friday, the complaint said.
The misdemeanor charge against the father carries a jail term of up to nine months.
