Texas authorities have arrested a man wanted in connection with the murder of a woman whose body was found dumped in a trash bin near Fourth Street and Charleston Boulevard on Jan. 15, police said.
Metro Police had obtained a warrant for the arrest of Curtis Duncan, who used to live with the victim, Shalynn Hatter, 18, Metro Lt. Tom Monahan said this morning.
Authorities in Killeen, Texas, arrested Duncan on Saturday, and he is expected to be returned to Nevada to face charges in connection with Hatter's death, officials said.
Hatter previously drew the attention of authorities in Las Vegas in October when her 2-year-old daughter was gone for two days. The girl was found unharmed and is now in state custody, authorities said.
