Fire damages abandoned building

Firefighters today used an arson-detection dog to sniff for evidence of flammable materials at an abandoned building that burned late Saturday.
The fire started in the north end of the boarded-up building along Boulder Highway near Sahara Avenue just before midnight, officials said. The fire spread and damaged the building, but did not destroy it. A damage estimate hasn't been determined, Clark County Fire Department spokesman Bob Leinbach said this morning.
