RENO, Nev. AP) - Kirk Snyder scored 16 points, and Jerry Petty made all three of his 3-point attempts in the final 10 minutes to lead Nevada to a 73-65 win over Hawaii on Saturday night in the Western Athletic Conference.
Todd Okeson added 14 points and Petty finished with 13 for the Wolf Pack (10-8, 5-3 WAC), who have won five of their last six.
Carl English had 27 points and Michael Kuebler scored all of his 12 points in the second half for the Rainbow Warriors (11-5, 4 (4)-, who have lost three in a row for the first time in two years.
Snyder had a game-high 10 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the season for Nevada, which led 29-28 at the half and held Hawaii scoreless during a key 5-minute stretch late in the game.
