Opera gala
The Nevada Opera Theatre presents the 17th opera gala, "Opera in Paris" at 7 p.m. today at the Paris Las Vegas. Guest of honor is French Consul General Jean-Luc Sibiude. There will be a champagne reception and a silent auction. Admission is $200 to $500. 731-3370 or 699-9775.

The Performing Arts Society of Nevada's Las Vegas Lyric Opera Company and Clark County Parks and Community Services present "An Afternoon With Mozart (Operatic Overview)" at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Winchester Community Center Theater, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Admission is $15. 658-6741.
Symphony
