T. Ray Anderson
T. Ray Anderson, 60, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 15, 1942, in Salina, Utah. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Rae Anderson of New Harmony, Utah; two sons, Jerry Wayne Smith of West Jordan, Utah, and Steven Howard Smith of Taylorsville, Utah; his father, Lawrence Anderson of Gunnison, Utah; two brothers, McKay Anderson of Salt Lake City and Steven Anderson of Gunnison; one sister, Joan Haws of St. George, Utah; and 12 grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Services will be Monday in Gunnison. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Chester 'Buddy' Beene
Chester "Buddy" Beene, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 1, 1933, in Bradley, Ark. A resident for four years, he was a retired pipe fitter and welder and a Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda, one son, Tony Beene, and one daughter, Nicole Beene, all of Fallbrook, Calif.; and four sisters, Lee Hulsey of Las Vegas, Sybil Taver of Eldorado, Ariz., Bernice Caracciola of Hayden Lake, Idaho, and Doris Johnson of Phoenix.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the National Kidney Foundation of Nevada, 4100 Boulder Highway, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Annette Beuck
Annette Beuck, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 8, 1923, in Chicago. A resident for 22 years, she was a retired city government terminal operator.
She is survived by her husband, William; one son, Jules E. Beuck, and one daughter, Rose Beuck, both of San Bernardino, Calif.; and one sister, Minnie Modell of Florida.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Saturday and 1-2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Eugene T. 'Gene' Bird
Eugene T. "Gene" Bird, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 22, 1928, in Bellevue, Neb. A resident for nine years, he retired from the marketing department of an oil company, was a World War II Army veteran, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8250 and American Legion Post 76.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothea; one daughter, Diane D'Amore of Las Vegas; one sister, Vivienne Nielson of York, Pa.; one brother, Victor Bird Jr. of Bedford, Iowa; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

A. Louise Boyer, 95, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born March 17, 1907, in Mullen, Neb. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Colleen Bennett of Atlanta and Carol Bruso of Henderson; one brother, Dale Huddle of Myrtle, Mo.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-6 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services and burial will be in Mullen.
Walter John 'Bud' Deegan
Walter John "Bud" Deegan, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Mahaska, Kan. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired pipefitter, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a member of the Elks and the Pipefitters Union.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude B.; and one sister, Marjorie Heckert of Sacramento.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8601 Del Webb Blvd. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Mary Ellen Dykstra
Mary Ellen Dykstra, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 30, 1918, in Hamilton, Ohio. A resident for 60 years, she was an Army veteran and a member of the board of directors of Lutheran Social Services of Nevada and the United States China Peoples Friendship Association.
She is survived by one son, David Dykstra, and one daughter, Nancy Dykstra, both of Virginia City; one adopted son, Lan Duong, and one adopted daughter, Chai Duong, both of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four grandchildren from adopted children.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Calvary Lutheran Church, 800 N. Bruce St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Imogene Facey
Imogene Facey, 67, of Las Vegas died Dec. 12 in a local hospital. She was born May 1, 1935, in Bristol, Tenn. A resident for 11 years, she was in quality control for a glass manufacturer.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Edward; five brothers, Jim Carver of Phoenix, Bob Carver of Bristol, Va., L.D. Carver of South Bend, Ind., Jack Carver of Indianapolis and Sam Carver of Granger, Ind.; and one sister, Betty Cruzenberry of Bristol, Va.
Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling private arrangements.
Jeffory Heaps
Jeffory Heaps, 47, of Pahrump died Tuesday in Clark County. He was born July 28, 1955, in Delaware. He was a truck driver and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Delaware. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Ulysses Jimerson
Ulysses Jimerson, 60, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 20, 1942, in Fordyce, Ark. A resident for 41 years, he was a hotel bar porter.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn; one son, Bruce Jimerson of North Las Vegas; three daughters, Carmelina Jimerson and April Jimerson, both of North Las Vegas, and Iosha Jimerson of Las Vegas; three brothers, Curtis Jimerson of Herlon, Calif., Dwight Jimerson of Las Vegas and Rex Jimerson of North Las Vegas; four sisters, Ruby Jean Brantley, Marie Irving and Margie Jackson, all of North Las Vegas, and Tina Jimerson of Arkansas; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.
Cheryle M. 'Sheri' Jones
Cheryle M. "Sheri" Jones, 56, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born May 11, 1946, in LaSalle, Ill. A resident for one year, she owned and operated Trendsetters Hair Salon in Peru, Ill., for 23 years.
She is survived by her husband, Dale M.; one daughter, Wendy Jones Fletcher of Los Angeles; one son, Michael "Mickey" Jones of Maui, Hawaii; her mother, Jean Harmon of Silsbee, Texas; and three sisters, Mary Jean Pattarozzi of Silsbee, Texas, Rita Rudzinski of Whitesboro, Texas, and Anna Lijewski of LaSalle.
Visitation is scheduled noon until 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Becky Lebo, 58, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born March 12, 1944, in Manila, Philippines. A resident for 11 years, she was a certified nurse's assistant at a hospice.
She is survived by her husband, Milt; two sons, Jayme Vasquez of Las Vegas and Robert Vasquez of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two daughters, Marie Camarillo of Burlingame, Wash., and Maria Aguinaldo of Santa Clarita, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 2 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Frank L. Lick
Frank L. Lick, 85, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born March 30, 1917, in Wales, N.D. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired welder for an appliance corporation and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by four sisters, Emma Gerlach of St. Joseph, Mich., Lillian Zettel of Langdon, N.D., Verna Lick of Santa Ana, Calif., and Dee Boyd of Anaheim, Calif.; and one brother, Norman Lick of Estero, Fla.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
JoAnn Schuller McGrath
JoAnn Schuller McGrath, 66, of Ocean Shores, Wash., died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 13, 1936, in New Castle, Pa. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired hotel waitress.
She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Infurnari and LuAnn Zobrist, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Sam Bova of Park City, Utah, and Steve Bova of Ocean Shores, Wash.; one sister, Nancy Smolnik, and one brother, David Schuller, both of New Castle; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Feb. 1 in the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Ruth Merryman
Ruth Merryman, 84, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 7, 1918, in Texas. A resident for 13 years, she was a furniture store owner.
She is survived by four daughters, Alene Sowell of Henderson and Marilyn Bell, Darlene Lindsey and Charlene Orton, all of California; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Robert Lee Nash, 55, of North Las Vegas died Jan. 11 in North Las Vegas. A retired porter, he was born Sept. 22, 1947, in Tallulah, La.
He is survived by two brothers, Charles Nash and David Nash, both of Las Vegas.

Joseph F. Ruffino
Joseph F. Ruffino, 79, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 15, 1923, in Saginaw, Mich. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired transportation supervisor and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria M.; one daughter, Marian V. Wruck of Lombard, Ill.; one sister, Angie Gunther of Streamwood, Ill.; one brother, Sandy Ruffino of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Melvin G. Silva
Melvin G. Silva, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Oakland, Calif. A resident for 25 years, he was a merchant seaman.
He is survived by his wife, Araceli; three sons, Joe Tato of San Francisco, Leonard Tato of Vancouver, Wash., and Jonathan Tato of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Clifford L. Strickler
Clifford L. Strickler, 50, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A retired auto mechanic, he was born Feb. 17, 1952, in Nevada.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce L.; one daughter, Elizabeth A. Mitchell, one brother, David Strickler, and two sisters, Debra Melikian and Carolyn Strickler, all of Nevada; and two grandsons.

Vera A. Thompson
Vera A. Thompson, 88, of Anthem, Ariz., died Monday in Anthem. She was born Aug. 1, 1914, in Denver. A former resident, she was a retired nurse's aide.
She is survived by three daughters, Francine Milyus of Anthem, Gayle E. Wells of Florida and JoAnne Hatfield of Caliente; two sisters, Virginia Hanley of Tempe, Ariz., and Barbara Thompson of Medford, Ore.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Raul Vasquez Jr.
Raul Vasquez Jr., 46, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 7, 1956, in Lordsburg, N.M. A resident for 41 years, he was hotel steward.
He is survived by one son, Steve Vasquez, and his life companion, Ginger Edlin, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Virginia Sedillos, and four sisters, Marie Enno, Rose Plaskett, Betsy Vasquez and Cecelia Vasquez, all of North Las Vegas; six brothers, Eloy Sedillos, Ruben Vasquez, Alfred Vasquez, Larry Vasquez, John Vasquez and Jerry Vasquez, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today with a 5 p.m. service in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be private.

Rheba D. White, 55, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born March 22, 1947, in Chicago. A resident for 17 years, she was a director of the Youth Usher Board and a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Isaac Abbott Jr. of Las Vegas; her parents, Ethel and Clyde Stansbury, two brothers, Calvin Stansbury and Clyde Stansbury Jr., and two sisters, Valerie Stansbury and Michelle Stansbury, all of Chicago; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will follow in Illinois. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.
