Letter: Bush plan won’t lead to recovery

Were it not so maddening, I would have to laugh hilariously at Kenny Guinn's tax increase plan. Here we have a Republican who led the Nevada GOP for Bush in 2000, and Bush's deep recession has come back to haunt him.
Bush's stimulus is a bitter joke in that it does nothing for the 38 states that are facing serious budget problems because of Bush's recession.
Bush's idea of a stimulus package is to give the very rich $364 billion (with a "b") in the abolition of the dividend tax, which will end up in more stocks in the market that will not stimulate anything but fatter bank accounts.
As the holder of an advanced degree in economics, I can say with some certitude that if the stimulus package doesn't get to the little guy, there "ain't" gonna be a recovery.
You can take that to the bank.
