BOYS BASKETBALL
Bishop Gorman 70, Sierra Vista 64: Brandan Prescott scored a game-high 19 points as the Gaels held off Sierra Vista in the fourth quarter. Robert Porter added 17 for Gorman. The Lions were led by 14 points from Jonathan Johnson and 13 points from Garrett Schofield.
Durango 98, Bonanza 71: Six players cracked double figures in scoring as the Blazers rolled to the win. Tywain McTyer scored 12 points and pulled in 11 rebounds. Luis Rosero led Bonanza with 25 points.
Green Valley 74, Basic 32: Mitch Platt totaled 12 points and 11 rebounds to help Green Valley to the easy victory. Ron Dunlap added 11 points and eight rebounds and Marquis Pittman pitched in 10 points. Lamar Click's 14 points and 10 rebounds were tops for Basic.
Cheyenne 83, Cimarron-Memorial 48: The Desert Shields ran their mark to 19-1 with a win at Cimarron. Lorrenzo Wade topped Cheyenne with 16 points and Chris Fuller added 12 points. Jeremy Breen led the Spartans with 16 points.
Other scores: Palo Verde 58, Moapa Valley 41; Las Vegas 77, Valley 59; Coronado 91, Vo-Tech 40; Desert Pines 68, Rancho 62; Eldorado 60, Chaparral 51; Centennial 83, Mojave 79 (OT); Foothill 59, Silverado 42
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Moapa Valley 54, Palo Verde 51: The Pirates topped the Panthers despite 16 points from Palo Verde's Vivian Ewalefo.
Centennial 80, Mojave 47: The Bulldogs entered 20-win territory by handling the Rattlers. Kristina Klein and Ashley Blake both totaled 21 points for Centennial. Mojave was paced by 19 points from Sequoia Holmes.
Bishop Gorman 80, Sierra Vista 10: Breona Gray's 17 points led the Gaels in a blowout.
