B. Jean Alexandre

B. Jean Alexandre, 54, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for 15 years, she was born April 7, 1948, in Niagara Falls, N.Y.

She is survived by her husband, James J.; and one son, Jon Alexandre of Las Vegas.

Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is arranging private family services.

Bailey Elizabeth Blackmore

Bailey Elizabeth Blackmore of Las Vegas died Friday, her date of birth, in a local hospital.

She is survived by her mother, Katrina Blackmore, and her grandmother, Elizabeth Blackmore, both of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Helen Caroline Carter

Helen Caroline Carter, 84, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 17, 1918, in Canada. A resident for two years, she was a director of college loans and grants.

She is survived by one daughter, Virginia May Sanchez; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Robert L. Clapp

Robert L. Clapp, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 9, 1931, in Nampa, Idaho. A resident for 15 1/2 years, he was a retired mechanical engineer for the federal government and a veteran of the Air Force National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona; two sons, Gregory Clapp of Nevada and Roger Clapp of Pennsylvania; one daughter, Dori Hash of Maryland; one sister, Leona Gardner, and two brothers, Arthur Clapp and Wesley Clapp, all of Idaho; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.

James Clark

James Clark, 54, of Henderson died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 18, 1948, in California.

He is survived by his mother, Flora; two brothers, John Carr and Jeff Carr, both of Iowa; one sister, Mary Muse of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

William Copan

William Copan, 32, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 2, 1970, in San Gabriel, Calif. A resident for 18 years, he was a carpenter.

He is survived by two daughters, Ashley Copan and Danielle Copan, both of Apple Valley, Calif.; his father, William Copan of Hesperia, Calif.; his mother, Sharon Boone of Las Vegas; one sister, Laurie Grinnell of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Raymond Edward Cote

Raymond Edward Cote, 73, of Boulder City died Monday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 1, 1929, in Drummondville, Quebec. A resident for 17 years, he was retired.

He is survived by his wife, Yvette; one daughter, Johanne Harrington of California; one son, Michael Cote of Boulder City; and two grandsons.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1399 San Felipe Drive, Boulder City. Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, is handling arrangements.

Joe Forget

Joe Forget, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 9, 1936, in Cohoes, N.Y. A resident for eight years, he was a Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran, a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association, Masons and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; one daughter, Darala Dody of Dumfries, Va.; three sons, Alphonse Forget of Espanola, N.M., Andrew Forget of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Joseph Forget of North Las Vegas; four sisters, Beatrice Martin of Phoenix, Marie Sequin of Latham, N.Y., Alice Riberdy of Waterford, N.Y., and Jean Radcliffe of Los Angeles; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow at 10:40 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

James Lynn Kesterson

James Lynn Kesterson, 40, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born April 2, 1962, in Henderson. A lifelong resident, he was a lead storekeeper for the Southern Nevada Water Authority.

He is survived by one son, Kelton L. Kesterson, two daughters, Teaira Castleberry and Teanna Englehart, and his mother, Lorna J. Kesterson, all of Henderson; three brothers, Ross Kesterson and Roger Kesterson, both of Mountain View, Wyo., and Donal Kesterson of Henderson; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 6:30-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Thursday in Cholla Street LDS Chapel, 303 S. Cholla St., Henderson.

David R. 'Groovy' Mann

David R. "Groovy" Mann, 42, of Las Vegas died Friday in a medical center. He was born March 19, 1960, in Roseburg, Ore. A resident for 16 years, he was a carpenter and a member of Carpenters Local 1977.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Ellen Mercer-Mann; three sons, Bobby Ray Mercer, Dylan Mercer and Kyle Mercer, all of Las Vegas; two daughters, Kelly Mann and Bobbi Mann, both of Salem, Ore.; his parents, Ray D. and Irene Mann of Sutherlin, Ore.; two sisters, Lore Cromwell of Eugene, Ore., and Pamela Ball of Sutherlin; four brothers, Loyel Arrant of Sutherlin, Tyrone Arrant of Walport, Ore., Johnny Arrant and Daniel Mann, both of Sheraton, Wash.; and his grandparents, Melba and Carl Dunn of Sutherlin.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Connie Marques

Connie Marques, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born May 13, 1922, in New York City. A resident for 42 years, she was a retired office manager at a construction company.

She is survived by her husband, Gus; one daughter, Mary Campbell of Las Vegas; her stepmother, Eileen Moreno of Natick, Mass.; four sisters, Ernestine DePoy of Kingman, Ariz., Linda Madden of Natick and Mona D'Andragora and Louisa Downing, all of Massachusetts; and five brothers, Ramon Moreno, Michael Moreno and Jeff Moreno, all of Massachusetts, and Ernest Moreno Jr. and Daniel Moreno, both of Potomac, Md.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Henderson.

George Pochiro

George Pochiro, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 23, 1924, in Ohio.

He is survived by one son, George Pochiro.

Kenny Prince

Kenny Prince, 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 21, 1943, in Cedar City, Utah. A resident for most of his life, he was a mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy; three brothers, Lora Lee Rodriguez, Brenda Prince and Becky Joe Sullivan; his mother, Iva Prince; two brothers, Mike and Bradley; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Friday in the LDS chapel, 1775 N. Christy Lane.

Helen Robb

Helen Robb, 43, of Boulder City died Monday in Boulder City. She was born March 5, 1959, in New Zealand. A resident for 21 years, she was a hospital nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Duncan; two daughters, Nycole Robb and Jeffrey Robb, both of Henderson; her mother, Jytta Christensen Wagoner of Olympia, Wash.; and two sons, Jan-Marie Reynolds of Olympia and Lisa Christensen of Seattle.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Michael William Roza, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 10, 1914, in Windburne, Pa. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired coal miner of 38 years.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte.

Adlet Rubinger

Adlet Rubinger, 86, of Las Vegas died Jan. 13 in New York. A self-employed vendor, she was born Oct. 31, 1916, in New York.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Rubinger; one son, David Rubinger; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Ramon Elloy Ruiz

Ramon Elloy Ruiz, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 1, 1917, in Juarez, Mexico. A resident for 49 years, he was a retired floorman in the gaming industry, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a member of the Commanders Club of the Disabled American Veterans, Green Line Parent Group Inc. and Nevada Special Olympics.

He is survived by three daughters, Ramona Ruiz and Frances Ruiz, both of Las Vegas, and Marcia Ruiz of Costa Mesa, Calif.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary and noon until a 2 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 3 p.m. Thursday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road.

Victor L. Sales, 32, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 21, 1970, in Glendale, Calif. A resident for five years, he was a casino receiving clerk.

He is survived by his wife, Javon Vontress; three daughters, Vivian Irby, Victoria Sales and Vivica Sales, and one son, Charles Allen, all of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Alexis Sales of San Bernardino, Calif., and Nathanal Sales Jr. of Los Angeles County.

Emilia H. Sama

Emilia H. Sama, 88, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 31, 1914, in Cuba. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Gerald F. Shelley

Gerald F. Shelley, 91, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 16, 1911, in Custer City, Okla. A resident for 61 years, he was a retired credit manager for a home improvement company and one of the founding members of the First Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; one son, Gary L. Shelley, and one daughter, Vivian Morgan Whiteley, both of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a noon service Friday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd.

Gene Steckler, 57, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 3, 1945, in Leadville, Colo. A resident for eight years, he was an airport baggage handler and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his companion, Sandy Soth, and one brother, Bill Steckler, both of Henderson.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Joetta F. Taylor

Joetta F. Taylor, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 23, 1935, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for 33 years, she was a porter for the Golden Nugget for 17 years.

She is survived by one son, Joe Lee Taylor, her mother, Lorna D. Murdock, and one sister, Victoria Mumford, all of Las Vegas.

Carolyn Ranae Uy, 39, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 18, 1963, in Las Cruces, N.M. A resident for 22 years, she was a PBX operator.

She is survived by three daughters, Amanda Torres, Adam Trisoline and Ashley Trisoline, and her mother and stepfather, Juanita Dougan and Kent Dougan of Las Vegas; her father and stepmother, Clayton and Lee Nadeau of Odum, Ga.; four brothers, Charles Samples of Las Vegas, Jay Samples of Taylor, Wis., John Samples of LaCrosse, Wis., and Mark Nadeau of Savannah, Ga.; five sisters, Debora Smith of Whitehall, Wis., Michelle Thayer of Merrillan, Wis., Jacqueline Samples of Atlanta, Danielle Pittenger of Whitehall and Kay Marie Nadeau of Odum, Ga.

Peter D. Wardle

Peter D. Wardle, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Australia. A resident for 22 years, he was a physician.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen; two sons, Andrew Wardle of Las Vegas and Geoffery Wardle of Canada; three daughters, Heather Inniss and Sally Miller, both of the West Indies and Carole Lambert of Mississippi; and five grandchildren.

Michael F. Webrzyn

Michael F. Webrzyn, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 2, 1918, in Bridgeport, Conn. A resident for 2 1/2 years, he was a retired railroad electrician and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Michele S. Ficano of Las Vegas; one son, Ronald F. Wegrzyn of Brookfield, Conn.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Isaac Abbott Jr. of Las Vegas; her parents, Ethel and Clyde Stansbury, two brothers, Calvin Stansbury and Clyde Stansbury Jr., and two sisters, Valerie Stansbury and Michelle Stansbury, all of Chicago; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will follow in Illinois. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Dennis G. Wright Sr.

Dennis G. Wright Sr., 61, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born March 29, 1941, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for one year, he was a railroad yardmaster.

He is survived by his wife, Judith; two daughters, Julianne Wright of Las Vegas and Suzanne Beckett of Henderson; one son, Dennis G. Wright Jr. of Las Vegas; one sister, Patricia Foley of Indianapolis; one brother, James Wright of Buffalo; and three grandchildren.
