Red Rock offers some easy strolls

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area offers hikes, walks and programs free of charge. To make required reservations or for more information on the following or upcoming programs, call 363-1922:

Ten to the Top: A two-mile easy hike. Learn how the Earth goes through transformations, Sunday.

Colorful Calicos: A four-mile moderate hike, Sunday.

Strolling in the Canyon: A one- mile easy walk in the canyon to explore, chat and have fun learning some of the canyon's secrets while traveling into her ancient past.

Desert Water Ecology: A three-mile moderate hike to discover one of Red Rock's beautiful springs. Learn how the geology in the area produces so much water, Monday.

Desert Babies: A program for 3 and 4 year olds. Enjoy doing stories, activities, crafts, snack, and lots of fun, Tuesday.

Pine Creek History: A three-mile moderate hike along the Pine Creek Trail and see the homestead foundation, and learn a little history about the diverse area, Thursday.
