Friday, Jan. 10, 2003 | 9:18 a.m.
The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade will start at 10 a.m. Saturday in downtown Las Vegas, featuring more than 100 floats and entertainers.
The parade route follows Fourth Street between Charleston Boulevard and Fremont Street.
The parade is a joint effort between the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Committee and the city of Las Vegas, which provided staff and equipment.
Councilman Lawrence Weekly, president of the committee, said the parade is a time to reflect on the memory of King, but also a time to celebrate his message.
