Tom Abbas, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A machine operator, he was born Dec. 26, 1933, in the Netherlands.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Frances.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Michigan. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Thomas Bariames
Thomas Bariames, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 30, 1924, in New York City. A resident for 14 years, he was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, George Bariames.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Rita Bastone
Rita Bastone, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 4, 1920, in New York City. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Denise Bastone of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Helen Eileen Bott, 53, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 4, 1949, in Shreveport, La. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel; one daughter, April Johnson, and one son, Daniel Bott Jr., both of Las Vegas; one sister, Margaret Ann Alexander, and four brothers, J.D. Alexander Sr., Charles Alexander, Ronnie Alexander and Lawrence Alexander, all of Louisiana; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Texas.
Stephen Randolf Bishop Bradley
Stephen Randolf Bishop Bradley, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 22, 1938.
He is survived by his wife, Ann.

Goldie M. Bruzek
Goldie M. Bruzek, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 19, 1936. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Jeffrey James of California; her mother, Lavenia Witherspoon of Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.
Alden W. Cox
Alden W. Cox, 66, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 21, 1936, in Los Angeles. A resident for 36 years, he was a hotel cook and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carol; seven daughters, Susan of Indiana, Lyrae of Long Beach, Calif., Linda, Roberta and Tracy, all of Las Vegas, Lillian of Wisconsin and Christina of South Carolina; two sons, Rodon Cox of Atlantic City, N.J., and John Cox of Tucson; and 12 grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at noon today in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.
Sybil Davidson
Sybil Davidson, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 23, 1924, in Bard, Calif. A resident for 75 years, she was a retired bookkeeper at a retail store.
She is survived by one son, Lynn Davidson, and one daughter, Wanda Fannon, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Wanda Hughes of Tempe, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Charles David Dick
Charles David Dick, 55, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 6, 1947, in Denver. A resident for 35 years, he was a dealer and Army veteran.
He is survived by his mother, Opal Dick, and two brothers, Michael Dick and Carl Dick, all of Las Vegas; and one sister, Sharon Dick of Nebraska.
A gathering will be 3-7 p.m. Jan. 16 in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Helen L. Dittmar
Helen L. Dittmar, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 3, 1935, in Wisconsin. A resident for 23 years, she was a casino supervisor.
She is survived by three daughters, Sheila Ammann, Lisa Culpen and Karla Anderson, all of Las Vegas; four sisters, Bonnie O'Dell of Tucson, Deborah Murphy of Cuba City, Wis., Jule Woodruff of Vancouver, Wash., and Paula Luedtke of Anchorage, Alaska; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
William L. Graham
William L. Graham, 93, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 9, 1909, in Chickasha, Okla. A resident for 52 years, he was a floor supervisor in the gaming industry, a World War II Army veteran who received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
He is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Fitzgerald of Las Vegas and Bill Graham of Henderson; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Jeffrey Alan Hockin
Jeffrey Alan Hockin, 43, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 11, 1959, in Adrian, Mich. A resident for 15 months, he was a coach driver for ATC Vancom.
He is survived by one daughter, Jada of Toledo, Ohio; one son, Corey of Las Vegas; his parents, Don and Gladys Binger of Las Vegas; four sisters, Sherry of Toledo and Sue, Donna and Bonnie, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Steve, and his grandmother, Zora, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Kevin Curtis Kegler, 44, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 1, 1959, in Michigan. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired Navy veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Teresa S. Kegler, one son, Christopher A. Kegler, his parents, Patricia L. and Raymond O. Kegler, and one sister, Sheryl L. Ackerman, all of Nevada; one brother, Michael B. Kegler of Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth H. Lamb, 79, of North Las Vegas died Dec. 29 in North Las Vegas. He was born June 16, 1923, in Lake City, Mich. A resident for 46 years, he was a civil service foreman, a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Army and Air Force veteran who received the EAME Theater Ribbon and two Bronze Stars.
He is survived by his wife, Lola M.

Sally Jane Lee, 70, of Henderson died Dec. 26 in a local hospital. She was born April 15, 1932, in Washington. A resident for one year, she was a housekeeper.
She is survived by one son, Michael J. Ottervanger of Henderson; one daughter, Diana L. McKusick; and three grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Loretta M. LoVerde
Loretta M. LoVerde, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 2, 1917, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Salvatore; one son, William LoVerde of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until a 7 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Van I. Marek
Van I. Marek, 73, of Henderson died Monday in a local health care center. He was born Aug. 31, 1929, in Chicago. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired baker and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Alfrieda; two sons, Michael Marek of Henderson and Mark Marek of Crown Point, Ind.; one daughter, Tracy Marek of Euless, Texas; one sister, Evelyn Balcerak of Manteno, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Alexander "Mac" McDonald, 97, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 1, 1905, in Alberta. A resident for nine years, he owned and operated a printing company.
He is survived by four sons, Buddy McDonald of Las Vegas, Jerry McDonald of San Clemente, Calif., Harry McDonald of Hilo, Hawaii, and Greg McDonald of Maui, Hawaii; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Additional services will be in San Clemente. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

James "Sonny" Pollack, 52, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 2, 1950, in Yuma, Ariz. A resident for 41 years, he owned a sign company and was a member of county softball league.
He is survived by his wife, Aletha H.; one daughter, Shannon Prietzel of Las Vegas; seven sons, Steven Pollack and Brian Pollack, both of El Mirage, Ariz., Shawn Meimerstorf, Kevin Meimerstorf and Shane Meimerstorf, all of Las Vegas, Michael Pollack of Fairplay, Colo., and Pat Pollack of Reno; four sisters, Barbara Easley and Margie Brooks, both of Las Vegas, and Rosella Levenson and Grace Pollack, both of Phoenix; one brother, Jack Pollack of Dayton; and 12 grandchildren.

James Scott Redmond, 50, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Sept. 11, 1952, in Seattle. A resident for 15 years, he worked for Hy-Bar Windows and Doors.
He is survived by his wife, Patti Bilotti of Henderson; two sons, Daniel Redmond of Las Vegas and Christopher Redmond of Beaverton, Ore.; one daughter, Jamie Chapman of Portland, Ore.; his parents, Richard Redmond and Virginia Redmond, and one brother, Tom Redmond, all of Beaverton; one sister, Nancy Wagner of Portland; and two grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 3:30 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.
Samuel Abraham Sams
Samuel Abraham Sams, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 28, 1925, in New Castle, Pa. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired casino executive and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Randy Sams and Frank Sams, and one daughter, Adriene Sams, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Ann Rick of Alaska; and one grandson.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in New Castle.

Eldroene R. "Ellie" Singleton, 78, of Boulder City died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 16, 1924, in Boulder City. A resident for 46 years, she was a retired hospital accountant, a World War II Coast Guard veteran, a member of the Eastern Star, Boulder City Organ Club and Boulder City Gem Club.
She is survived by her husband, Eben; one daughter, Karen Garrison of Las Vegas; one son, Bill Singleton of Boulder City; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Grace Community Church, 1150 Wyoming St., Boulder City.

He is survived by his fiancee, Shelly; three sons, Michael, Darrell Jr., Joey, David and John; one daughter, Stacey; one brother, Bob; and one grandchild.

Angie R. Valdez, 89, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 28, 1913, in Mexico. A resident for 1 1/2 years, she was a volunteer at Western Regional Hospital in Bullhead City, Ariz., for 35 years, a member of Desert Daisies and a torch bearer in Arizona for the 1994 Olympics in Atlanta.
She is survived by one daughter Betty L. Gerach of North Las Vegas; two brothers, Eli Ramirez of Palmdale, Calif., and Henry Ramirez of Fortuna, Calif.; four sisters, Mary Martell of Sacramento, Carmen Kim of Pasadena, Calif., Rosie Kruger of Palmdale and Sara Claycomb of Florida; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
