Trade group names committee

Executives from International Game Technology, Bally Gaming and Systems and Konami Gaming Inc. will co-chair a new technical committee of the Gaming Standards Association, an international trade group that defines, develops and promotes operating standards for the gaming industry worldwide.
The committee will steer the definition and deployment of a protocol standard for gaming devices that it expects to complete by the end of the year and implement in 2004.
IGT Director of Field Engineering John Chamberlain and Bally Vice President of Advanced Development Jim Morrow will co-chair the committee. Tim Britt, vice president of systems for Konami, will serve as technical chair.
