Walter Adams
Walter Adams, 99, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 19, 1903, in Los Angeles. A resident for eight years, he was a retired owner of a landscaping business and a retired Los Angeles Police employee.
He is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Joy Vinmans of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Julieta S. Ambriz
Julieta S. Ambriz, 87, of Las Vegas, died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 23, 1915, in Mexico. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired bookkeeper and taught religious education classes.
She is survived by two sons, Ralph Abrego of Las Vegas and Renaud Abrego of Stagecoach; one daughter, Susan Abrego of Las Vegas; one sister, Martha Phillips of Yucca Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 5200 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
William E. Bennett
William E. Bennett, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 5, 1925, in Los Angeles. A resident for 33 years, he was an administrator for several local hospitals, a retired World War II and Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of Air Force Sergeants Association, Zelzah Temple and Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.

Leslie Joseph 'Joe' Cornelius
Leslie Joseph "Joe" Cornelius, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born April 9, 1919, in Mina. A resident for 49 years, he was a retired city parks foreman, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Rose Society.
He is survived by his wife, Karma; three daughters, Myrna Wilson and Amber Drabant, both of Las Vegas, and Judy Cornelius of Reno; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the LDS Lorenzi Chapel. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Bunkerville Cemetery.
Larry L. Cox
Larry L. Cox, 54, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 6, 1948, in Searcy, Ark. A resident for five years, he worked in the title industry in San Diego since 1970.
He is survived by two sons, Jared Cox and Matthew Cox, both of Bremerton, Wash.; one daughter, Erin Cox-Railsback of Kailua, Hawaii; his parents, Donnie and Jerry Moran of Escondido, Calif.; and two sisters, Brenda Cole of San Diego and Dian Dutton of Escondido.
A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Another memorial service will be Jan. 18 at First Church of the Nazarene, 135 S. Redwood, Escondido.
Lorraine Davis
Lorraine Davis, 70, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 22, 1932, in Breckinridge, Texas. A resident for 13 years, she was a foster parent.
She is survived by one son, Ronald A. Clark of Los Angeles; one daughter, Tanya Miller, and one sister, Erma Gene Johnson, both of Las Vegas; one brother, James Robertson of Los Angeles; and eight grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Services and burial will be in California. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Patricia Ann Ellison
Patricia Ann Ellison, 63, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born April 16, 1938, in Tulsa, Okla. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by four sons, Everett H. Olten Jr., Ricky C. Olten, Richard E. Olten and Dale Olten; one daughter, Vicki D. Olten; two brothers, Johnney Johnson and Roy L. Johnson Jr.; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Richard Boyd Fields
Richard Boyd Fields, 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 19, 1922, in Los Angeles. A resident for 39 years, he was an employee for 20 years at the Clark County Airports Division, an Army Ranger, retired from the Air Force, a World War II veteran, a member of Las Vegas Masonic Lodge 32, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Zelzah Shrine Center and the Royal Order of Jesters.
He is survived by his wife, Leona; one son, Richard P. Fields of Denver; two daughters, Aldonna Helm of Bakersfield, Calif., and Kathleen Chacon of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Marjorie Teresa Gossett
Marjorie Teresa Gossett, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. She was born June 21, 1919, in Oklahoma. A resident for 53 years, she was a photographer.
She is survived by one daughter, Jerilynn Rivera of Las Vegas.

Dorothy Hall, 88, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A schoolteacher, she was born July 23, 1914, in Arkansas.

Donald Joseph Harding
Donald Joseph Harding, 74, of Las Vegas died Dec. 29 in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 12, 1928, in Lynn, Mass. A resident for 16 years, he was a vendor stocker and a veteran of the Merchant Marines, Air Force and Army.
He is survived by one daughter, Elainia Marie Harding; and one granddaughter, Reanna Marie Antoinette Marzel.
Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Sunrise Cremation & Burial Society, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 5, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Verie E. Hoffman
Verie E. Hoffman, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 26, 1931, in Java, Indonesia. A resident for nine years, he was a retired aircraft technician.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie.

Melvin Jones
Melvin Jones, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 8, 1942, in Memphis, Tenn. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired Air Force veteran.
He is survived by one son, Melvin Anthony Jones of Las Vegas; and one brother, Ralph Bonds of Memphis.
Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 4 p.m. service Friday in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Sandra Ann Low, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 30, 1942, in Huntington Park, Calif. A resident for 12 years, she was a jewelry department saleswoman.
She is survived by her husband, Tex; one daughter, Lori Diaz of Boulder City; two sons, Wayne Low of Boulder City and Roger Low of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; one brother, Richard Stover of Bloomington, Calif.; her mother, Helen Stoffel of Rialto, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Boulder City Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd.
Robert J. Lysle
Robert J. Lysle, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 13, 1921, in Mount Lebanon, Pa. A resident for 53 years, he was a hotel-motel front desk clerk and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Barbara Jo Robinson of Maineville, Ohio; two sons, Michael Lysle of Fairfield, Ohio, and James Lysle of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Elsie Martell, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 9, 1922, in Panola, Okla. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired hotel waitress.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Potenciana L. Mea, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 19, 1921, in the Philippines. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by four daughters, Yolanda M. Tabora and Cecilia M. Gamba, both of Las Vegas, and Erlinda M. Torres and Maria Everlita Pastor, both of the Philippines; three sons, Romeo L. Mea, Alfredo L. Mea and Celso L. Mea, and three brothers, Felipe K. Lacorte, Fidel K. Lacorte and Quintin K. Lacorte, all of the Philippines; three sisters, Escoustica L. Casanova of California and Teobora L. Lacorte and Vicenta L. Saludo, both of the Philippines; 29 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Roz Ogren, 75, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born May 13, 1927, in Eldorado Springs, Mo. A resident for four years, she was a retired hospital registered nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew; two daughters, Vicki Kline of Phoenix and Shannon Rea of Corning, Ohio; one brother, Charles Chaney of Independence, Mo.; one sister, Vera Dorsey of Redondo Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Rosalie Di Blasio of Las Vegas; one son, Albert Petronzio of Willoughby Hill, Ohio; four sisters, Lucy Viggiani, Nettie Hora and Lena Stewart, all of Cleveland, and Rosie Magalenk of Upland, Calif.; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Denver S. Ruano, 31, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 3, 1972, in Queens, N.Y. A resident for two years, he was a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Ann; his father, Eric Ruano, his mother, Gladys Benson, and one brother, Eric Ruano Jr., all of Queens, N.Y.; and his stepfather, Richard Benson.

Louis J. Rossi, 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 22, 1940, in Chicago. A resident for 17 years, he was an automotive manager.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; one son, Louis J. Rossi Jr., and one daughter, Carrie Rossi, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Marie Luizzi of New York and Carol Lamb of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Eddie Dinucci of Chicago and Robert Lamb of Las Vegas.

William Tony Schams
William Tony Schams, 40, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 27, 1962, in Maryland. A resident for five years, he was a teacher at Community College of Southern Nevada and an Air Force veteran.

Bud Thornton, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 25, 1923, in Illinois. A resident for 39 years, he was a service adjuster for an automotive firm, a World War II veteran and a member of the Eagles for 30 years.
He is survived by his companion, Rebecca Milane; one son, George McAuliff of Chicago Heights; three brothers, Gilbert McAuliff of Naperville, Ill., Gregory McAuliff of Las Vegas; and Gary McAuliff of Hawthorne, Ill.; two sisters, Grace Pender of Oaklawn, Ill., and Gloria Milane of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.
