Frank Aguilera

Frank Aguilera, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 18, 1920, in El Paso, Texas. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired bakery checker and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Cecilia; five daughters, Stella Marks of Carson, Calif., Patsy Soto and Barbara Underwood, both of Las Vegas, and Virgie Lomas and Becky Silvas, both of San Pedro, Calif.; three sons, Frank Aguilera Jr. of Perris, Calif., Lawrence Aguilera of Redlands, Calif., and Joseph Aguilera of San Pedro; 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5 p.m. until a 7 p.m. rosary Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St., followed by graveside services in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Gracita Aument

Gracita Aument, 51, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 17, 1951, in Tanjay, Philippines. A resident for nine years, she was a retired saleswoman and a member of the Luzon Visayan Association.

She is survived by her husband, Carroll; and 12 brothers and sisters, all of the Philippines.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Paula Virginia Brown

Paula Virginia Brown, 93, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 8, 1909, in Canada. A resident for 32, she was a server.

She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie West, and one son, James Brown, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with a 4 p.m. rosary Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday in Guardian Angel Cathedral, 336 Cathedral Way, followed by burial in Memory Gardens.

Joseph Steve Caravella

Joseph Steve Caravella, 82, of Las Vegas died Dec. 28 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 15, 1920, in Milwaukee. A resident for 25 years, he was an inventor and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce M.; and two sons, Joseph Jay of Las Vegas and Joseph Anthony of Henderson.

Burial will be private. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Hillary McKinley Carpenter Jr.

Hillary McKinley Carpenter Jr., 81, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 10, 1921, in Green, Ohio. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired civil service worker and World War II Army veteran, and a member of the Masons and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by one son, Hillary Carpenter III of Minnesota; three daughters, Hilaria Stief of Florida, Naomi Siegel of Oklahoma and Lorra Lee Juarezs of California; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Phuong Ngoc Chieu

Phuong Ngoc Chieu, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 4, 1926, in Vietnam. A resident for 23 years, she was a laundry worker.

She is survived by four daughters, Van Tuyet Ho of Lancaster, Pa., Phi Tuyet Ho of Belgium and Ann Laramore and Cau Tuyet Ho, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Romeo Conde and Fransisco Conde, both of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by burial in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Elbert Crawford Couch

Elbert Crawford Couch, 71, of Las Vegas died Dec. 21 in a local care center. He was born July 9, 1931, in South Carolina. A resident for 49 years, he was a bus driver for 40 years, an Air Force veteran and a member of the Eagle Scouts.

He is survived by his wife, Judith; one son, Chris; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Paul Leon Duncan

Paul Leon Duncan, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born June 3, 1925, in Oklahoma. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired gaming supervisor and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Olive; one son, Richard Leon Duncan; one brother, Thomas Gayle Duncan; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Linda Fedel

Linda Fedel, 50, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. She was born May 7, 1952, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, David; one son, Rick Baker of Riverside, Calif.; one stepson, Derek Fedel, and her mother, Viola Frost, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Paul Frost, and one sister, Jaci Walker, both of Salt Lake City; and one grandchild.

Services will be noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Emmitt Gray

Emmitt Gray, 55, of Las Vegas died Dec. 26 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 16, 1947, in Mississippi. A resident for 27 years, he was a hotel cook.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine; three daughters, Diane Gray, Sandra Gray and Debbie Thomas, and two sons, Emmitt Terrelle and Rashid Gray, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Herman Gray of Forrest, Miss.; two sisters, Lena Gaddis of Las Vegas and Ever Jean Moore of Forrest; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 6 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Danny Hughes

Danny Hughes, 25, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 16, 1977, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a student at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

He is survived by his parents Dan and Adela Hughes, and one sister, Lisa Hughes, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Bryan Hughes of Kingwood, Texas, and Brad Hughes of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Leo and Connie Baez of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. services Monday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive, Las Vegas, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Josephine Jones

Josephine Jones, 83, of Las Vegas died Dec. 27 in a local hospital. Born April 15, 1919, in Murfreesboro, Tenn, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Gwendolyn Marshall and Luvenia Wingo, both of Las Vegas, and Marilyn Summers of Lathrup Village, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd., North. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave., followed by a private burial.

Barbara Bell Jukich

Barbara Bell Jukich, 74, of Ruth died Wednesday in a local hospital. Born June 22, 1928, in Ely, she was a retail sales clerk.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Jukich of Las Vegas and David Jukich of Henderson.

Burial will be in Ely. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Evelyn J. Kaufman

Evelyn J. Kaufman, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 16, 1926, in Los Angeles. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired real estate officer and a member of the Sun City Organ Club.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Spain of Hasville, Wash., and Carol Gagnebin and Joyce Nolasco, both of Las Vegas; one son, Ken Kaufman of Las Vegas; two sisters, Helen Ayres of Nevada City, Calif., and Dorothy Brown of Paradise, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Josephine Leggio

Josephine Leggio, 92, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. Born Dec. 27, 1910, in Ragusa, Italy, she was a resident for 27 years.

She is survived by one son, Salvatore Leggio of Henderson; one daughter, Rosemarie Sager of Sacramento; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

Jeanene Manitta

Jeanene Manitta, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 23, 1927, in Newark, N.J. A resident for 19 years, she owned a health spa company.

She is survived by her husband, Norman; two daughters, Linda Renshaw of Kearny, N.J., and Stephanie Tryon of Boise, Idaho; one stepson, Tony Manitta of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Terri Hutchinson of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one brother, Morris Finklestein of New Jersey; and one sister, Ruth Taskila of Boulder City.

Services will be private. Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Paul Joseph Marrone

Paul Joseph Marrone, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 21, 1918, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for two years, he was a retired airline technician and a World War II Army veteran.

She is survived by one daughter, Gail Binder; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

John James Moran

John James Moran, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 2, 1934, in Ohio. A resident for eight years, he was a retired CPA.

He is survived by his wife, Fern; three sons, John J. Moran II of Henderson, Timothy Moran of Oak Park, Ill., and Sean Moran of Chicago; three daughters, Teresa Moran of Las Vegas, Erin Moran of Boulder City and Sylvia Moran of Alexandria, Va.; one brother, Joseph Moran of Lakewood, Ohio; one sister, Patricia Leavy of Smithtown, N.Y.; and six grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Glenda M. Piper

Glenda M. Piper died Dec. 28 in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 6, 1942, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a waitress.

She is survived by two sons, Chris and Robert, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Al Belford and Brian Belford, and three sisters, Mary Gale, Patti Chasteen and Renee Floyd, all of Nevada.

Services will be noon Sunday at 4928 Dancing Lights St. Sunrise Cremation and Burial Society, 745 W. Sunset Road, Suite 5, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Robert K. Reilly

Robert K. Reilly, 82, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 18, 1920, in Seattle, Wash. A resident for two years, he was a retired thrift store vice president and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; three sons, Michael P. Reilly of Portland, Ore., James A. Reilly and Robert B. Reilly, both of Henderson; one daughter, Leslie L. Reilly of Kailona Kono, Hawaii; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mary Ramona Sant

Mary Ramona Sant, 83, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 31, 1919, in Douglas, Ariz. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Williams of Pahrump and Linda Newlove of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one brother, Frank Garcia, and one sister, Mellie Arsata, both of Douglas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Kadizia Varney

Kadizia Varney, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1919, in Logan, W.Va. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two sons, Phil Varney of Las Vegas and Larry Varney of Payson, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., followed by a private burial in Palm Memorial Park.

Lee H. Wadkins

Lee H. Wadkins, 89, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 8, 1913, in Minnesota. A resident for 48 years, she was a retired beautician.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald.

De'Angelo Williams

De'Angelo Williams, 4 months, died Dec. 12 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 3, 2002.

He is survived by one brother, De'Andre Williams of Las Vegas.

Glen Dean Wise

Glen Dean Wise, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 6, 1926, in Missouri. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired Air Force veteran.

He is survived his wife, Grace; four sons, Glen Keyser Oregon, Roy Burks of Washington and John Berry and Jeff Burks, both of Arizona; six daughters, Linda Lindsey of New York, Jean Strom of Washington and Carol Campbell, Donna Mills, Diana Watt and Hazel Cowan, all of Arizona; 24 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, followed by a private burial.
