NEVADA DIVISION OF WILDLIFE
Creel census clerks reported that anglers fishing the Overton Arm in the Muddy River area, north of the boat ramp, were successful landing eight crappie. An angler using top-water lures landed largemouth bass that ranged from two to three pounds.
Anglers using top-water lures in the Virgin River area, behind Fish Island, caught largemouth bass that averaged two pounds. A few small stripers were taken in this area using anchovies. NDOW was scheduled to stock trout at Hemenway Cove, Pumphouse Cove (B5), North Saddle Cove (B3) and Horsepower Cove today.
Willow Beach anglers using PowerBait were successful landing rainbow trout that averaged 12 inches. NDOW stocked trout Thursday at Willow Beach.
Haymeadow and Cold Springs reservoirs are ice-free. There is skim ice in the early morning but it usually melts by midday.
