Hit-and-run suspect surrenders

A North Las Vegas man surrendered to police Wednesday, telling them he was the driver involved in a fatal hit and run Feb. 5.
Rodolfo Manaot Villanuela may be charged by the Clark County district attorney's office with a felony for leaving the scene of a fatal traffic accident, police said. He may also face other charges, they said.
Police said officers met with two Las Vegas attorneys on Wednesday and said Villanuela had contacted them about his involvement in the crash. Villanuela came to the police station and surrendered, and told officers where they could find the 1995 Mercedes-Benz four-door sports sedan involved in the crash. Officers took the car in and processed it for evidence.
Lt. Paul Womack said he believes one of the reasons why Villanuela surrendered was because investigators were able to pinpoint the make, model and color of the car.
