Sex chat with teen leads to prison
A Chino, Calif., man has been sentenced to 71 months in prison for traveling to Las Vegas with the intent to have sex with a juvenile.
Marc Stephen Hood, 43, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Larry Hicks Monday after previously pleading guilty to the sex charge.
Hood was arrested in September after coming to Las Vegas with the expectation of meeting a 14-year-old girl he had chatted with on the Internet. The "girl" was actually an FBI agent posing as a teen in a chat room.
Hood reportedly had numerous sexually explicit conversations with the agent online, and eventually arranged to meet at a Las Vegas hotel.
