Nevada rates increasing

CARSON CITY -- Allstate Insurance Co. and an affiliated company have received state permission to raise auto rates by 3.5 percent.
State Insurance Commissioner Alice Molasky-Arman said Tuesday Allstate and Allstate Property Casualty Insurance Company sought a 7.1 percent increase but she reduced that.
Bodily injury rates will rise 6.9 percent; property damage goes up 4 percent; medical payments will rise 2.5 percent and uninsured motorist coverage will go up 6 percent.
The rates will be statewide and do not change by territory.
Allstate insures 140,279 people and Allstate Property and Casualty covers 5,713.
