NASCAR drivers on auction block
The Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities will hold its fifth annual NASCAR Driver Auction beginning with Chris Chitsey's concert at 5 p.m. Thursday in Sam's Town Live!
Many NASCAR Winston Cup and NASCAR Busch Series drivers will participate in the auction, which affords race fans the opportunity to bid for a chance to meet their favorite racers during pre-race introductions.
Tickets are $35 and are currently available online at www.tickets.com. Also, depending on availability, tickets can be purchased at Sam's Town Live! box office on the day of the auction.

Town meeting on foreign policy set
Community College of Southern Nevada is hosting a town meeting on foreign policy at 6:30 p.m. today at the Charleston campus to open channels of communication between government and citizens.
Guest speakers include: Ambassador Donald K. Steinberg, principal deputy director of policy planning, and Christopher Sandrolini, director of policy planning and coordination for the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement. Call 651-7307.
Celebration of Culture VII: Soul Legacy,
