All things considered, there are much better places to spend Thanksgiving weekend than in chilly and windy Laramie, Wyo.
But that's where John Robinson and his UNLV Rebels will be trying to wear off turkey dinner this year according to the Mountain West Conference football schedule released Monday.
The Rebels and Cowboys conclude the MWC regular season schedule on Nov. 29 in Laramie.
Other than what figures to be a very cold season finale, Robinson and company don't have a whole lot to complain about. In fact, they should be pretty happy with the way things worked out.
The Rebels have bye weeks before their annual Fremont Cannon battle at Nevada-Reno and also before what could be a key Mountain West game against defending conference champion Colorado State Nov. 22 at Sam Boyd Stadium.
UNLV's other conference road trips are at Air Force on Oct. 11, when the weather shouldn't be too bad, and at New Mexico on Nov. 1. Four of the last six games are at Sam Boyd Stadium.
The 12-game schedule features six homes games and six games against 2002 bowl teams. Season tickets will range from $70 for end zone seating to $140 for sideline seating.
